it gets better after episode 3; i'm now at episode 6 and i'm seeing signs since episode 4 that pei wen xuan and li rong aren't the only ones who traveled back in time.
I hope all goes well for zlh. My hope is that he will be mentally strong and hope he survives this phase of popularity that blew out of control. i'm not from china but the crazy rage and attacks all over the platforms.. ouch.. did all of them started because of a silly joke that sounded "racist" or what from the variety show? i think he was just being childish but nothing harmful. it didn't sound offensive to me at all (being a south east asian myself). and seeing him and TXW both acknowledging lin jj as their favorite singer, proves that he shows a lot of respect to him, and lin jj is originally south east asian chinese too... i've seen zlh had collaborated with SEA artists/ model/ etc and he was respectful to them too. & the comment from the military side is kinda harsh... he's not a soldier; he's an idol . And how his face looks on screen is determined not by himself alone but the makeup team/ directing team. in this case, it's not the sword or gun that kills the person; but words & hands with misplaced prejudice, ego, judgment that bring about hatred and sorrow. Words can kill a fragile soul hanging on a thread & i certainly don't want seeing another news of suicide.
i notice there are many similarities with pursuit of jade. feels like li wei being reincarnated into changyu... hahahaha but i still can't help smiling, enjoying the show. sometimes, i also see xie zheng in prince zheng.. i must have watched too much of POJ previously
is it the cameraman's skills? is it the director's skills? is it the production's team's? is it the scriptwriting? every angle of camera brings out all the actors' and actresses' beauty and impressive acting. i think the main leads' acting is at their best & even every side character is able to show off their good acting skills.
I'm going to rewatch too. It won't be the first drama lmao
The story is layered isn't it; some lines have hidden meaning and i discover i missed the small things in my first viewings, only to realize & understand after rewatching...
I'm rewatching from ep 1 the third time...and i'm not even getting bored. i think this is the 1st time ever ive done this for cdrama.. oh god, what's happening to me.. i rewatched ep 24 like 5x; comedy at its peak.
There's a difference between love and obsession. Xiyang held on to a small encounter and made it into a big deal…
love at first sight hehehe she probably thought it was fate when she got the arranged marriage and went over the moon because it was that same guy who "saved" her
I also thought how maybe its double standards why i hate xiyang for "loving" the enemy when the suige…
yea you're not wrong. to me, i think XY's story depicts the 'love is blind when we were young' theme. I guess the author wanted to create a character with a sheltered and spoiled life and would chased everything she loved even if it's a bad guy or leaving her family behind. it's just too bad i assumed the guy never loved her back and she ended up being a nun later on? that's the spoiler i got from others- i'm not sure if the resource is true. Whereas for FSG and FYX- their feelings were always mutual; be it when they were enemies or when they turned lovers lol
Every time Jinxiu kingdom my finger hurts with how first I be pressing the button to move forward like take guess…
yea same for me, i ended up skipping too. i think many become least interested in the seemingly villain who chose to play the sad anti-hero in front of the jinxiu empress/ emperor but conniving mastermind behind betrayal and lies; the guy who gets chased by a sheltered princess who was blinded by love and selfishness- and there is no good story buildup-- if he was going to be the villain, i expected that he would show the more villain side of him actually. so obviously the audience would favor the story revolving the main leads instead.
It’s kinda sad because it’s a big misunderstanding. Like I understand how Yao felt, but it’s not Sui Ge’s…
Yea, looks like it. To think if it was the PM who sent those assassins to kill the young FSG and MY; and most likely manipulated MY into tricking and betraying FSG by using his hatred and lust for revenge or jealousy later on. That is just sad. Just another pawn in the bigger game. I believe should be the biological son- the adopted son was a different guy with different personality.
I must say I enjoyed the series thoroughly. Think I marathoned through the weekend long time ago- have to watch it again to give it a more justified review.
wow, all the fluffy rom com trolls eh? and you gals can't even spell your words right? why not you show me YOUR media literacy then. I think everyone has a right to say what they want to say.
