the major and probably the only thing i disagree about this series is the title itself- unrequited love. it is not a love unreturned. instead, it is a story about true love, that is returned to its rightful place; a probable fantasy to those who truly wished their unrequited love to be reciprocated in the same mannerif you're looking for a different kind of love story, this could be good pick for you. it could do a huge tug at your heartstrings and have you lusting for more even after the story has ended. which is why fans like me rejoice at the remakes and some fans may not as many tend to compare and that the original series is the after all the true first love and the best version of all. truly, the remake was not able to capture certain original message of the story (probably due to the fact that it is a remake and it has to be different or it'll be complete plagiarism)
imperfections of the female lead could be the one thing that the story lacks and that it should have explored more on her self conflict towards her love towards the ML vs love towards her mother vs mixed feelings towards his family.
is it human nature to love and not hate at all?
to be continued..

How is a jade's true value measured?
once upon a snowi found a lost soul
when i had nothing
but just a hairpin
little did i know
it changed my whole
fates entwined
light was shined
i took down the veil
and the jade revealed
this is a love story. it cannot be compared to another with a different theme. it sparked and ignited our tender hearts as we shared YZ's & FCY's joys and sorrows along their journey. and it's amazing how a simple love story can then melt our hearts and become a memorable masterpiece for us drama fans to cherish. kudos to the director and as many had described, the aesthetic shots and editing he brought to life and wonders. yes, the storywriting wasn't ideal; i was so disappointed with episode 30 it dug a hollow space in my heart for awhile. a lot of deux ex machina unfortunately toward the end of the story. the first half was good and oh yes, i absolutely love the comedy. the side characters are so wholesome and awesome; particularly the little girl, ning mei mei is the true jade for me :) this series has the complete package- i love every single bit of it; both its strengths and weakness.
