I felt this drama flies quick. It just premiere last week and ends soon! Last 6 episodes
Since iqiyi basically premiered 6 eps during the first day (considering that it's only 28 eps total), and 2 eps everyday until yesterday. Then we will get 1 ep in the next 3 days starting today.
So, the drama will probably end on 22nd or 23rd with its express package. But overall it will end in 28th (based on the drama's calendar schedule).
for the next 3 days we will only get 1 episode per day... since i got so used on the 2 eps per day π but this is okay since we get to have the drama airing it a little longer π
I wonder when can we see the douban score for this drama π
I have seen many positives comments from cnetz so i'm hoping it can reach at least a 7.0 (or even higher) douban score. Considering that in douban and cnetz, they are really brutal in terms of rating dramas..
I think 28 episodes for this drama is really the right episodes that we should have.
At first, I believed that 28 episodes seems shorter considering other costume dramas usually around 30 and more. But with this drama, since the pacing from the beginning is quite fast, it is appropriate to have these amount of episodes.
Since I really DISLIKE too much dragging or filler episodes. It makes a 10/10 drama lose its worthy score because of its dragging scenes. I encountered some dramas like that, where I truly enjoy watching the drama but having it with shorter episodes is better than having to drag a scene or have filler episodes just to fill those remaining episodes (or even ruin a great drama because of an unnecessary scene).
I truly hope this drama gives us a proper ending episodes with right amount of scenes that we need to uncover and see. No need to have those draggy scenes with too many episodes..
Once again, this drama is a masterpiece and I enjoy every episodes so far (of course there are some episodes that are favorable to me because of some certain scenes hehe), and as we are nearing the end of its eps release, I look forward to see this drama to be a success until the end!
I really wanted to see Xu Zhen Xuan cause he's one of my fave, but i didn't past the first episode, i'm not saying…
i'm mostly looking forward to him in this drama too! but with the amount of comments on this drama, considering the hype it received from both the fans and the platforms, i'm having second thoughts if i will start this early....
This drama is way toooo good!! ππ such a binge worthy drama to watch, but still, it's such a great experience to watch it while its currently airing to feel the thrill and excitement on what will happen next.
As we go on through the upcoming episodes, it will be intense, more angsty, and probably very emotional as both Xie Jiayu and Xiao Wuyi will be experiencing more hardships together. AAAAHHH can't wait to watch ALL the episodes now!
I feel bad for the people who don't want to watch this drama tho... such a waste for an interesting and exciting plot. They are missing out for real :P
After 2 days of being away from this drama due to real life stuffs, finally got to catch up with the recent eps and contents from the promotional event.

Let's talk about today's episode, especially the 10th episode.
This is probably the best episode so far because it showcases the growth and changes of the characters.
Starting with Xiao Wuyi and Xie Jiayu's growing relationship towards each other. They started to trust each other and this shows how much Xie Jiayu has grown to appreciate and respect Xiao Wuyi as a person and his dedication. Xiao Wuyi trusted Xie Jiayu to be his eyes (SUCH A GREAT SCENE BTW THE RED SCARF IS THE BEST) and also the fact that they practice together. I believe this is the start of their closeness and more trust to each as we see them hugging after winning the match.
Next, Li Mao, notice how he started noticing how Xie Jiayu and Xiao Wuyi is getting closer to each other? He even mentioned how well they worked together and as you can see from the scene of the two hugging, he noticed something. In addition, he mentioned how Xie Jiayu dislike tiring herself and doing things related to politics and stuff, but after she explained herself, this really shows that Xie Jiayu is slowly coming out of her comfort zone and is indeed trying to 'explore' the vast world. And if you can hear the change of sound during their conversation, it aligns well the realization of Li Mao.... (oooohh this might be the start of his change of attitude to his bestfriend ohohohoh)
Also, notice the very minimal screen time of Grand Tutor Xie? The screentime might be little but it adds the detail of him probably expecting Li Mao to change his attitude and realizes that his rival is his bestfriend. This is what he is waiting for, for the brotherhood to be broken.
Overall, this episode is such an amazing watch! Probably one of the best (also Ep1 is still top tier because of that legendary fire sword scene).
BTW, the OST and BG music whenever a good scene comes up add to the emotional and impact of the scene is really nice. Can't wait for tomorrows ep!!
