That's true actually. Main leads had their stories told, their so-called destinies decided. TBOY2 would probably be, author trying to extract the fame and popularity TBOY gathered.

They are probably gonna go with a theme screaming, 'no matter who stands as the monarch, evil politics with evil intentions would still continue and people with corrupted heart would always be there. So TBOY2 follows the story of how the, then immature main leads after settling their youth and home, protect the court and people. And the birth of new talents and stuff ig.'

Ruojin basically had a smooth journey to the throne ( in case of gaining support from various powerful figures) thanks to Prince Langya's efforts.
So the sequel of his ending in TBOY disappoints me on Ruojin.
But well, I do not remember, if it was his own suspicion that led to those consequences of if he ended up being one of those emperors who were controlled by the court and throne rather than being the one in control.

I thought they would show something like: after YDZ died, YQ probably wasn't satisfied with how everything ended, she was still swallowed by her desire for revenge and hence continued the rebel. So to suppress her, BDJ probably had to kill her or something.
And so I was quite surprised when DY potrayed YQ as a person who just yearned for her father's company in the Tianwaitian scene around ep 35-36.

But wasn't YY death related to YQ? DY explains YQ's death as suicide in the cell where YDZ locked her up, so the latter sequences cannot take place, without presence of YQ 🤔
Based on what I remember BDJ seemed have mistaken YY for YQ, and hence ended up killing his wife.
So by leads, I meant BDJ and YY. Killing off YQ, similar to changing their ending too?

Ruofeng's death took place 4 years before TBOY, so ig his death won't be mentioned here.

I haven't read the novel, so no idea. But based on what was shown in TBOY, the ending of the main leads were changed completely.

Besides there no rumor of it airing now, so maybe we won't be seeing that one soon.

I had the same problem with this one! Despite me enjoying every corner of the story, the super short episodes ruined it for me. Yeah that was the only aspect that ruined it for me. Before I could get fully invested in any episodes, they were already over 😮‍💨. Wish they could go for 5+ mins at the very least.

I remember they had this father-son scandal revolving around Zhuo Qing in TBOY? And also considering they look same (used same actor for both the roles Zhuo Qing and Jin Xuan.

One is always there accepting order from Zuo Qing and other rides back on horse in ep 30.
Then which one wanted to harm Xiao Se in TBOY?
