Zhao Lusi, Zhao Lusi, the actress you are 🤌🏻✨ The whole sea set-up is just so beautiful and aesthetically different compared to all the dramas these days. The emotional scenes, I have no words for them! This girl is literally best with character development stories. As for the ml, personally, Ig I am vibing with his character too, he has been betrayed, and has his family wiped out right in front of him, so he understands cruelty of the world better than anyone else. One has never seen the world, but experiences in that small hellhole got her becoming stubborn and self reliant to protect herself, and other has seen the world and faces it's betrayal, so he grew up cunning, unempathetic and his inability to trust people easily.

I think she meant 2nd fl. Basically since the og plot contains Lin Yu as 2nd fl who fights for ML's attention. So when Ling Miaomiao transmigrates, she keeps mentioning at every task about how annoying the writer (FuZhou) is, to write such a stupid plot.
And in some cdramas, we often see 2nd fl doing bad deeds to gain MLS attention, so the user probably meant (in reference to those self roasting funny dialogues by Ling Miaomiao), that even after realising 2nd fl is annoying when she turns cannon fodder, why do general cdrama writers still include the toxic 2nd fl plots in cdramas.
It wasn't meant in attack to the drama, it was meant as supporting Ling Miaomiao's dialogue.

I read the manhua and novel a year back I think. But based on my experience in reading manhuas adapted from novel, manhuas often delete some scenes, to make things shorter, or whenever they find scenes that aren't very significant to the plot, they might delete it.
So it is also possible that certain scenes weren't included in manhuas. But then again the Gold toad scene and her father was indeed not an arc in the primary chapters of both novel and manhua.
But if you are talking about the chemistry between ml and fl, based on what I remember, this is what I imagined them to be. The transmigration system made it all so unserious for me.
