Gotta say I was quite disappointed with the first few episodes yesterday, probably because I had different expectations about the drama. I imaged it to be portraying the war scenes, the spirit of soldier, the difficulties yet persistence of a female reporter struggling in the midst of the war, not only with her job, but also as a female living in this inconvenience or maybe I should say this situation that not everyone out there could cope up with yet moving forward with her passion.
So this whole different 'Diary of a Young girl' vibe felt kinda unacceptable at first, but I can't deny after 8 episodes that the drama is doing good in whatever it is doing right now.
Then again, the main point of entire story was never passion of reporter or spirit of soldier, but about 'The White Olive Tree' that never stays white and is always covered with dirt because of the war. So the day the olive tree grows white, shimmering under the sun would be the day peace would return in war torn cities of the eastern country. This is basically depicting sentiments of the female lead seeing the war, writing her journal in hopes of finding the non-existent 'white olive tree', so ig, I could say I am enjoying whatever this is delivering right now.
Now will be a situation of lack of evidence vs inference based on personality and motives. As they stopped her,…
right! cause despite being well-planned, she wasn't physically involved as long as the crime wasn't committed. All of this was supposed to be a coincidence. I am loving how they keep coming with cases like these!
