Emotionally empty and painfully repetitive
I get what Kuzu no Honkai was trying to do — showing loneliness, using others to fill a void, the messiness of relationships when you're broken inside. I get it. But honestly? The execution was terrible.
Every episode felt like watching the same sad scene over and over. different characters, same numb sex, same emptiness. Nothing ever evolved. It was like the show thought being edgy was enough without actually telling a story that mattered. The explicit scenes got so repetitive that they lost all impact. Instead of feeling raw or emotional, they just felt boring and hollow, like the characters weren’t even real people anymore — just props for more suffering.
There was no real growth, no catharsis, no real connection to anyone. Just endless self-destruction with no point.
The acting and production looked nice, but pretty aesthetics can’t cover up the fact that the story went nowhere.
By the end, i just felt drained and annoyed, not moved. Definitely one of those shows that thinks it's deep when it's actually just depressing without a purpose.
