The premise is much more interesting than what we got. It feels like most of the drama was the same thing, Yuan trying to get closer to Su Yan and her being wary of him. The ending was alright but the flashback to before the story started at the very end felt like it was added to the wrong place. It felt like they had this footage, forgot about it and then tried to stick it in at the end. While it does contribute to the story, the place it's added to feels weird. The footage could've been added in a better place, especially since we just saw Yuan and Su Yan both die. They should've put the past footage in somewhere else and just left the ending where Su Yan poisons herself and the emperor.
