The premise is much more interesting than what we got. It feels like most of the drama was the same thing, Yuan trying to get closer to Su Yan and her being wary of him. The ending was alright but the flashback to before the story started at the very end felt like it was added to the wrong place. It felt like they had this footage, forgot about it and then tried to stick it in at the end. While it does contribute to the story, the place it's added to feels weird. The footage could've been added in a better place, especially since we just saw Yuan and Su Yan both die. They should've put the past footage in somewhere else and just left the ending where Su Yan poisons herself and the emperor. Was this review helpful to you?

Perfect Match did a great job of showing the bonds between the Li family as well as throwing in comedic moments. I loved seeing how much they loved each other, if someone had a problem all the other sisters would meet up to try and help. The bonds between the sisters was the main reason I wanted to watch and why I continued to watch. Also loved how conflicts were quickly resolved it(In any other show all those relatives coming to steal the Li's assets would've dragged out for way too long.) helped me not feel as irritated with the villains and kept the show interesting. Kangning's arc started off interesting but I quickly got tired of the back and forth. I felt like Shuohua's arc had a lot of potential that was wasted. I wish they explored more of Shuohua's character in her ways of expressing love. What I mean is that she feels different from her sisters in her relationship because of how closed off she feels. She cares about Yangxi but there's also a wall whether it be her past marriage and how much she cared for him or being the eldest daughter and feeling a responsibility to her mothers and sisters after her father's death. Leshan's arc was fun (sometimes that annoying character just needs to be beaten up no need to spend 10 eps thinking of a way to get payback) but the scheming and annoying in laws got irritating fast. I thought the relationship between her and Yang Xian was cute, glad she found someone that loved her fighting spirit instead of being with someone that she had to bite her tongue around.
Haode's arc felt like it had a darker tone than the rest of the show but that's probably just the nature of having to constantly be around the justice system. The writing for the relationship between her and Huizhao was very sweet and felt a lot more balanced than the other relationships (Fuhui, Kangning, and Shouhua are all calling the shots in their marriages). I also liked how the arc utilized Leshan because before this both Haode and Leshan were kind of just in the background. There's feels like the three oldest sisters are closer to each other while the two youngest are closer to each other (probably because everyone wanted to shield them from the reality of their situation and allowed them to run around and play).
A weak part of Perfect Match was showing the passage of time. I knew time was going by but it was hard to know how much time was going by unless it was explicitly shown. All the characters looked the exact same throughout the show and the only change in style they had was when they got married. But overall the show was enjoyable. The bond between the sisters was my favorite.

Heard a lot about this drama and heard that it had qualities that I liked so I decided to give it a try. I messed up my sleep schedule and spent my spring break binge watching this but it was worth it. The story was so interesting and well thought out and I felt like all the character's motivations and actions were realistic. Xuening is so interesting to me. I loved her bonds between the other characters and how she mends lots of her interpersonal relationships that she messed up from her past life. Also not really a nitpick but I wish I saw more Empress Xuening from her previous life she was so hot.Only thing I didn't like was that I felt like there could've been more episodes as the ending didn't feel fully resolved. Like it went from Xuening accepting the proposal to them years later with kids. I just felt like seeing the rebuilding/direct aftermath of what happened would've been more satisfactory for me.

These differing and complex relationships help make the show and characters feel more lively and realistic. For example, Fenglong, Xinyue, and Jing's relationship and interactions were so fun to me. I love how comfortable they are with each other and how they care for each other. Like Jing is usually pretty polite most of the time but he jokes around with Xinyue and Fenglong which is a good case of showing us how close they are rather than just telling.

Story is very straightforward, I figured out where the story was heading pretty early. The relationship between Xiao Chu and Anan was the thing that kept me watching. Although it was very predictable, I liked that even after being told when she'd end up time traveling to, she made the same decisions each time resulting in nothing she did changing the past. Personally, this is my favorite philosophy (idk if this is the right word) for time travel. Was this review helpful to you?

Short and sweet. I finished the whole drama in a day. With some dramas I feel like some parts are too dragged out but with Deliberations of Love I feel the opposite. I feel like the drama could've easily been extended at the end to explain how everyone remembered their past lives because it was literally just thrown in at the last 6 minutes. I wouldn't say writing wise the drama is anything new (kind of predicted everything) but the execution was good.I thought Yueqing was a fun character. She had her funny moments while also having a clear head and clear motives. Her and Pei Xun were cute I wish they had even more screentime together. Honestly looked like they had a pretty happy life the first time before having to drink poison which makes me wish there were more flashbacks to it.

Blossom is such a beautiful show like literally. Every frame was so pretty and it felt visually distinctive from the other shows I've watched. Every moment of the show was also utilized. Everything that was included felt like it was important to the overall narrative or at least interesting in some way. I loved how they contrasted characters' fates and actions in their first life to the current life. (Dou Ming dying and having a miscarriage instead of Dou Zhao, Song Han having the fate of Song Mo from the first life)One of the highlights of the show was Wang Yingxue and Dou Ming's relationship. Yingxue is a terrible person and she's hurt lots of people even Ming herself but you can also tell that Ming is her most important person (Yingxue killed one of her loyal servants but lost her mind when Ming died, tried marrying Dou Zhao to a bad family but eventually let Ming marry into the family instead to make her happy).
Dou Zhao is such an older sister. She has so much love for her friends and she's so dependable. Never once doubted that she'd find a way out of any situation for those she cared about. She truly deserved her happy ending with everyone she cared about and a loving husband.
I did feel like the last half of the show was weaker than the first (after the marriage). The last half didn't engage me as much as the first half. It also felt like both Dou Zhao and Song Mo took a back seat in the action and the side characters played a larger role. Which could be good or bad depending on how someone likes a story to be told/how much you like Dou Zhao and Song Mo. For me, I didn't like it as much since I liked seeing Dou Zhao and Song Mo taking a direct role in the action and moving the story along.

This show just served to convinced me I'd be so mean during an apocalypse
First part of the series was pretty boring but it got better as time went on. I kinda didn't realize the series ended until I went to check for another episode and it wasn't there but to be fair there isn't much else the show could do besides finding a way to get rid of zombies for good.Yeongju ended up in some of the worst situations possible from just being too nice. Nearly getting ran over by a train to save a grandma and then almost getting killed by said grandma like girl. Also that woman she met at the very end seemed so suspicious I was so sure Yeongju was about to be beheaded by her or have the beheading group led to her by that woman.
Lowkey feel like Yeongju and Jaeyoon didn't go through much development as characters. They kinda feel the same as they were at the beginning of the show. Highlight of the show was for sure whenever they were fighting zombies. Overall Newtopia was a fun watch as it was entertaining and had its comedic moments.

The relationships between characters specifically female characters were a highlight for me. It would've been so easy to make the Empress and Consort Yue hate each other or Yang Yang and Shaoshang hate each other out of jealousy but they didn't. I love that even if Shaoshang and the Empress were jealous of the love Consort Yue and Yang Yang received from someone they wanted love from, they never blamed it on the other. It was such a breath of fresh air and made me really appreciate the drama.
Also love how the main characters are so proactive/didn't just have verbal conflicts (don't really know how to phrase this). This is very much a personal taste but I don't like it when characters spend the whole show scheming and using words just to get what they want. It infuriates me to see people getting away with things just because they're eloquent so I liked that both Buyi and Shaoshang were unafraid to resort to physical means to get back at others.
I felt like after the five year time skip the story felt a little weird. Maybe there should've just been more episodes for the five year time skip portion of the story. It felt like a lot of the story was compressed into these episodes and the story could've benefited from more episodes. The story also felt much more heavier (less comedic moments) but that could just be to reflect on how Shaoshang has matured. Kind of split on how I feel about Shaoshang's character development tbh. Yes she couldn't have stayed as she was at the beginning of the show but I feel like the execution could be better. Also having the final villains being some rando that was mentioned/shown like five times and a vengeful wife feels so weird when for most of the show the villain was the one that betrayed Gu city.

Shaoshang and her mother's relationship is my favorite. It feels realistic and I love the complexity. Yes, her mother has wronged her but you can see her reasoning for her actions. There's so much to explore in a mother-daughter dynamic and when it's explored well I'm always blown away.
