Well, since you've been to Singapore, you'd understand that Malaysia is pretty much the same as SG. SG used to be part of Singapore. Most people speaks at least 2-3 languages + a few different dialects. The reason is due to our country being multi racial.

I picked up some Spanish during my time studying and working in the US, and haven't spoken it for 14 years, till I went to Spain this year. Spanish was rusty, but after practicing a little more with the locals, I could communicate and move around without issues. It doesn't affect my understanding, just that when I talk, I can't recall the words I should use to mean what I want to.

Oh one more thing I realized, when they say 哥哥 妹妹 , pronounced as GeGe MeiMei, it's translated as cousins. I haven't finished the series yet, they may be cousins I'm not sure. But in Chinese culture, we call people who are elder or younger as 哥哥 弟弟 妹妹 姐姐 out of respect, may or may not be blood related.

I'm confused coz XiaongLiu kissed XiaoLiu in the water drowning, so the FL is having a romance with the 3rd lead? I was thinking the first make lead, but maybe they're related, I'm not sure.

I'm watching this on Netflix with English subtitles on. What I can say is, the subtitles translation is nothing as good as the actual words spoken in Chinese. The dialogues used are way more meaningful than the English subtitles, and it's so super hilarious.

I'm trying very hard to like this drama, but the acting is pretty bad. I can't feel the chemistry. 2nd ML doesn't even try hard enough to make it a 2nd Lead Syndrome. the FL is terrible. Sigh.
