I speak Cantonese at home, Mandarin with other Chinese that don't understand Cantonese, Hakka and Hokkien too. But I can't read Chinese characters, but learned quite a bit with Karaoke. Would be interesting to read all those novels.

Thanks for the explanation. I just watched till 13 yesterday, where XiangLiu had the bug transferred. I guess the romance is between XiangLiu and XiaoYao. But it's weird coz he kept abusing her. I'd have preferred Tushan Jing.

Oh one more thing I realized, when they say 哥哥 妹妹 , pronounced as GeGe MeiMei, it's translated as cousins. I haven't finished the series yet, they may be cousins I'm not sure. But in Chinese culture, we call people who are elder or younger as 哥哥 弟弟 妹妹 姐姐 out of respect, may or may not be blood related.

I'm confused coz XiaongLiu kissed XiaoLiu in the water drowning, so the FL is having a romance with the 3rd lead? I was thinking the first make lead, but maybe they're related, I'm not sure.

I'm only 9 episodes in. I've been observing the NF subtitles leave a lot of details out.

I'm watching this on Netflix with English subtitles on. What I can say is, the subtitles translation is nothing as good as the actual words spoken in Chinese. The dialogues used are way more meaningful than the English subtitles, and it's so super hilarious.

I swear, these producers really know how to fuck it up. I'm gonna watch 2 more episodes next week, if it doesn't improve, I'm dropping this shit.

I'm trying very hard to like this drama, but the acting is pretty bad. I can't feel the chemistry. 2nd ML doesn't even try hard enough to make it a 2nd Lead Syndrome. the FL is terrible. Sigh.

she's married to me. we have a witness, the baby in her belly.

first season of Alchemy of Souls, she had a mole by her eye. and it's gone on the 2nd season. did she have it removed? or was it a fake mole?

This drama is a super disappointment.
Way too generic and recycled.
Way too unrealistic, and doesn't make sense.
But I have to give it to this drama, perhaps one of the most kiss scenes in a K Drama series, and the kisses are very intimate. Muk Bang, as some would call it.

Is this worth watching?
