there's a subbing team working on eng subs for the show so yes we will get decent ones at some point.

Well that's because the good eng subs aren't out yet, try to be a bit more patient, I don't think waiting another month or two for good subs is very long when we've been waiting 2 years for it to air.

Novel is bl. Drama is bromance.
No the drama is a censored BL, there's a difference between that and bromance. This drama was made by the writers/production team/actors with the romance in mind, so they tried to convey the romance as well as possible under censorship (through the subtext, the looks, etc.), but the censorship also means there's no kissing scenes or explicitly romantic confessions.

There's definitely sexual tension so I recommend you watch it at some point (the first 8 episodes are out and the rest of the episodes start airing in april)

the ending to The Untamed was fine and Word of Honor got around the sad ending by filming and releasing an alternative ending (the real ending), so I have hope that JITD won't have a sad ending either.
