Actually, the story is less interesting, especially the female lead who looks ordinary, because there are so many…
I actually checked out the drama solely because of the lead actress and I know others who did the same.. There are many romcoms with good looking lead actors and those didn't perform as well as Lovely Runner so it's really an unfounded take to attribute all of its success on the male lead's good looks.
I had the same experience with QoT but this drama is soo much better and more enjoyable imo, I would say watching…
There is so much to expect: hilarious peak romcom comedy, great characters that you will root for and suffer with together, so many gorgeous OSTs (I've been listening obsessively to most of them!) and one of the best kdrama love stories, I don't want to spoil anything but it's really really worth the watch if you like romance. The writing is really good and there are quite a few twists along the way. I never felt the need to skip any scenes (although maybe the second couple is not that interesting, they don't take too much screentime and I found them quite funny). The SML is great too (and I'm always looking forward to his scenes!), but there isn't really a love triangle because nothing can be compared to the feelings between the main leads. This drama made me smile, laugh, cry and giggle over the main couple way too many times, it's really THE romcom. So unless you hate this genre, I definitely recommend you watch it ASAP ˙ᵕ˙
Is it really a good drama or just watchable because the last drama i watched was queen of tears which was also…
I had the same experience with QoT but this drama is soo much better and more enjoyable imo, I would say watching the first 2-3 ep is enough to decide if it's for you or not! Although ep 15-16 are not out yet based on the writing so far I'm confident the drama will keep up and end well!
Aw man. Our girl is a total Mess! In real life, it would probably be good to stay away from her, at the very least,…
I mean, even in real life, not taking the time travel into consideration, he wasn't fully open with her about how he feels and even treated her coldly at times (and when he confessed she was drunk so she can't be considered at fault for that), if I were her I wouldn't be able to tell he likes me either from his actions so far (though they're understandable with everything he's going through!). Also they're in high school & being a chaotic teenager is not that *serious*
I don't know why some people are talking about Kim Hye-yoon's appearance. In my opinion, I think actors should…
I personally can't think of any other actress that could pull off this role as well as Kim Hye-yoon does (and tbh I started watching it because of her!), also she is conventionally pretty so I don't know what they're talking about
Saame, I love both the ML and SML so muchh, I ultimately ship ML x FL more but I want to see the r/s between FL x SML develop as well (I think it'd be great if they end up as good friends when they're both adults)
Just started watching this out of boredom, on ep 2 and I really don't see how the ML is going to fall for the FL but I'm sure some kdrama magic will be sprinkled :) I do appreciate the comfy & totally random outfits the FL wears, miss seeing this type of 'I'm a sleepy raccoon!' fashion in modern dramas.
You know a drama has become an all time hit when there's suddenly a brigade of people calling it overrated. I…
Maybe because the expectations are different when starting Lovely Runner (actors who have starred in some stuff but not the biggest names in the industry, a plot that doesn't necessarily appeal to experienced drama watchers and could easily turn out very cliché and boring) compared to Queen of Tears (famous screenwriter knwon for MLFTS, CLOY, very big name actors, esp KSH, high production budget) so it's a bit hard to compare the two. I think Lovely Runner was a pleasant surprise for most (including me, I really wasn't expecting much but was blown away by how well executed the drama is with very few boring scenes) so it's ought to have such a positive response. It's been getting more and more hype so I'm sure that by the time it ends there will be some people claiming it's overrated (but that also depends on whether the next eps' quality will stay on par with the 4 we've gotten so far).
I'm not sure what type of ending I want from this drama at this point: - if Hae In dies it'll obviously be very sad & all those happy moments between them going forward will carry that bittersweetness & sorrow and it will make the 'cherish the ones around you & reach out to loved ones & don't be afraid to communicate' message stronger - if they somehow find a miraculous random cure in ep 15/16 that would be a bit too much ⟡ kdrama magic ⟡ -y for me, especially since they emphasized so much how rare & serious of a condition she has I hope the writers will surprise me with another alternative that includes Hae In living though
Ok but it's pretty ridiculous how Hyun Woo is single handedly saving their family (when he even isn't a part of it anymore) while the actual members aren't doing anything remotely useful but constantly complain about the conditions offered by the only people who accepted them under their roof 😭
Nah, she's eating this role up. The range of emotions showed in this one already is insane and it's only half…
Completely agree, she acted her ass off! The scene where she forgets about going to Germany & the divorce and then she finds out again from Hyun Woo is literally acting gold, the expressions on her face mirror so well the situation and the emotions she's going through with the realization. Also, nice to see a fellow Romanian around here :))
damn, it's been a long time since PMY tried to do something more rather than just play the same generic romcom FL, if she's chosen to go through this process for the role then it will hopefully be a good kdrama
City hunter -`♡´- Healer -`♡´- the K2 (love these dramas!)
