Something about this show feels very nostalgic to me. It reminds me of the 2010s romcoms written by the Hong sisters.…
I liked DWY reminded of the Hong Sisters' drama which I happened to really like as well. It's refreshing to just watch and enjoy, no complications. I am currently watching a cdrama with so much going into it everyone watching has a theory in mind. It is good but love pairing it with DWY.
I also think that breaking the course is not just about the actual spells in the book but rather the establishment or the reconnection of the first shaman A's soul to her LHJ and Jang Mujin's to JSY. The moment HJ started the love spell, SY was affected and got into a car accident. Tho I don't think the feelings between HJ and SY is a carry over from A and JM from the past. I hope that current couple will be the healing to the cursed love A and JM have which I presumed they have in the past.
I hate that SY looks like he is two-timing 2FL but in reality he did broke up with her. Later he did reconcile with her despite reluctantly or lukewarm. I hope he puts an end to it soon.
I am so totally into our HongShin couple and DWY is making its way into my Top Ten Dramas of All Time. So far the comedic element is epic, the acting chops gold on all front. IMO nothing is overdone in this drama. I love how RW is so good in this role when most of his shows before are rather with a hint of melo on it. He is one those young actors who I follow not just because he is good looking but rather because of this good acting. (He got me in ExtraOrdinary You). One might consider me biased but so far there is no boring part of the show for me, no fillers. Everything seems to fit into a tee. I wish tho that SY had the courage to own up to his feelings and stopped the reconciliation and engagement with 2FL tho I know where he is coming from having in mind that the feeling at the moment is only temporary accounting to the spell. I dont' think the spell itself took effect rather the "destiny" was triggered when HJ started the Love Spell, note the car accident and not when he drank the water.
I really hope they start showing more flashbacks in upcoming episodes,I get why the ML would accept the supernatural…
yes i would, i mean we would really appreciate some flashbacks to explain the backstory of the first shaman and the first jang. I think aside from being cursed he was dreaming of the young hong jo ergo the "destined" element fits in making him accept it easily. We all know he is saying he doesn't want all of this taking into account that he was "spelled" to feel all of this for her but we as audience and he knows he is deep into her already. the classic you don't mean what you are saying dude. i guess before episode 10 all backstory will have unfolded already.
I don't think I've watched a truly great K drama rom com since Business Proposal or Crash Course in Romance. In…
I couldn't agree more! JSY & LHJ are a match made in heaven. I hope we don't get cheated in the end like it's a deja vu from the past where past ml killed past fl. But really, this show is a really good comedy with both leads showing great acting and comedic timing. RW's delivery of his lines are actually epic when you can see that the delivery was intended for the audience to laugh and laugh we did but looking at his eyes after this scene tugs at my heartstrings.
came here to say again that I can never hate Shangjue 🫠😂🥵
Hahaha yes i actually admire him. GSJ takes his rank position seriously. His character have this ooomph! Well tbh everyone in this show is scene stealer on their own way.
woah these two leads are actually good since Maid's Revenge (tho I felt cheated with that ending). I hope they have a HE here. They have good acting chops and look really good. ML so how do you say this, well put together!
whew! this drama is amazing! I can't get enough with each episode. No episode is dull and boy does it make you use your mind watching this show.. TBH, GSJ is such a complex person, I admire how he thinks, acts and behaves. I can't wait to see the matured GZY (he now is really adorable) and see how people will admire him for his talents as well. He is a person with a heart, very intelligent and smart as well. The Wufeng brides are both soooooo amazing. They are so skillful, i know i know they are trained for this. I dunno if in the end we will have a happy ending for GZY and YWS but I also want SQ to live and have her freedom.
MJTY is a rather serious drama, if not for the Zi siblings. I love them two. It's like they are ordinary siblings who bicker and tease each other. How they talk to each other is quite adorable. JF and GZS is quite funny and interesting as well,
Before I go over some things in the drama, let me gosh over the Gong brothers! They are some excellent male specimen. :)
Okay, hopefully we see the resolution of the issue on GZY's background soonest like next episode. It's been going on since day 1 or since GZY can remember. IMO it seems like unfounded. His father would not have loved him that much if there was an issue to his birth. In a family like theirs who value bloodline, I don't think such issue would be kept hidden and the elders might have known the truth as well. They would have let ZY inherit the SW title if there is any truth or even shade to the matter.
Wufeng's plan to infiltrate the Gongs was a long one. Even four years ago, SQ had a planned encounter with GSJ already. They are very meticulous.
I can't wait how YWS will explain to JF about her sword skills but I guess she had it all wrapped up taking into consideration that her technique would be recognized by JF. She may have planned it all along.
My reserved drama is here! Done watching ep1 and I must say that I like it very much. The story is interesting and its only 24 episodes (just when you think the plotline could go as far as 40) and not complaining at all. Acting is good and the story flow and directing seems well done as well. Hoping not to be disappointed in this Wuxia.
I was expecting the last episode to be given to CK-CH but well, I just get what I can, at least they still ended up together... well. The show is good, had it not been good, i would have dropped it off. Of course, I have some issues with it as well. I love that it had comedy and angst tho I can't understand how it can't focus on one at some point. The transition is sometimes off. Acting wise, DYX is hats off the best but I hope the show maxed it out for its own benefit. Anyway it was a good show overall.
before i fangirl over ding yuxi, lemme just out this, i was not prepared damn, i wasn't! i thought the initial hilarity would set the tone for the drama and some splash of tears but i ended up crying till I slept. I have some issues with the FL Maybe it's how she is written or just the acting. anyway ding is waaaay too good and his voice is so silky smooth. hahaha.
