first of all, i'm an adult. but i do feel like you're not one. with all the weird and condescending comments, you can't be one. don't reply under my comments anymore.
i believe that the only reason why they left baekjin's death an open ending was to have a chance to give him a redemption arc for the next season, because there's no way they didnt know we would eat up his character. he has his whole fandom now. and im pretty sure netflix wants to profit off that. in the webtoon baekjin destroys cheongnam too, but in the show cheongnam ceo looks for a replacement, so im sure s3 will be about the kids vs the adults controlling and ruining them. i think the main boys (sieun suho baku gotak juntae baekjin) will come together to either js fight cheongnam or if seongje chose to be with cheongnam then it'll be him. that's when we'll have a final evil villain because seongje seems like the kid to have no feelings of guilt whatsoever.
for everyone saying baekjin and baku don't look like highschoolers, its supposed to be that way...you can't expect little boys fighting with crazy power like them. because donald and ben park in the webtoon are literally the top2 fighters of weak hero. the actors are made to look bulkier and more muscular and rough
1. I have no idea, season 1 was not like this and it’s one of the biggest issues. The fighting and power scaling…
i think the reason why they didnt use the truck plot and left baekjins story untold was for a possibility of s3, bec im pretty sure he has a huge fandom of his own rn esp w ppl demanding we get the actual donald back. so ig they could bring him back to finally destroy cheongnam like they did in the webtoon
RE Baekjin, I think the suggestion is that he was killed off... we didn't see it happen, so my guess is he isn't...…
i mean honestly the adult ceo who was handling baekjin could've just killed him off and lied to seongje about him not knowing where baekjin was. he needed a replacement anyways. i assumed that he was killed by the ones controlling him, but if theres a s3 i might sound crazy but i hope they bring back baekjin and make him an anti hero or smth, and this time they fight the adults who allow all this to happen
Which episode showed him growing up in the orphanage? When did the beef between Baek Jin and Baku start?
it didn't show it but he did donate to the orphanage, and the manager said smth like "your dongsaengs really liked the warm jackets" smth along the lines. it implied that he knew the kids at the orphanage for a while. the only assumption that could come out of it was that he was either adopted later on or smth. i think the feud started off when baekjin said smth like "youre the one who taught me this" while beating the kid up, and baku prob started distancing bec he thought the behaviour of baekjins was odd. middle school ig
honestly they shouldn't have made us sympathize with baekjin if they were just gonna kill him OFF??? it left such a heavy feeling in my heart, because of how much they humanized him. and i wonder how much emotional baggage humin must carry after this too. this really wasn't what he wanted because as gotak said, he was still worried for him. even while they fought, you could see the rage between baekjin and humin was very different, it was somewhat love too. or maybe im insane. the orphanage scene especially haunts me. he shouldn't have grown up that way, it could be the adults in his life or abuse or whatever backstory, but it will most certainly leave an impact. i absolutely loved the fight scenes between humin and baekjin when they had the exact same power with the exact same mannerisms whenever they threw a punch. overall, baekjin was a wonderful antagonist. leaves you thinking about him (or cos hes fine as hell)
other than that, SUHO!!! missed you baby. ep4 ending when sieun says im sorry suho ugh, i know a nation sobbed. everytime we saw parallels between suho sieun baku, it made me heart 3
anyways, i actually enjoyed this szn a lot more than the first one. could've been the better quality streaming, or the wait just making me biased. but i wont agree at all with people saying this was bad. this was so good.
first when the grandma cried missing aesun's dad. then the whole of episode 6. first the grief of the parents, then the guilt of the children. words can't describe how scarred i am. i've seen my grandparents lose a child too and i cant explain how agonizing it is. this drama is a masterpiece.
i'm truly surprised at the viewers who are mad or just upset about the leads ending up together too early or/and not exploring their careers etc. i thought that was literally like the main theme of this show or am i wrong? i feel like this show is a lot like pachinko. shows the pov of three generations, and the sacrifices that aesun and gwangsik had to make for them to find a different sort of happiness. i don't think either of them regret their marriage; sure, they might have moments where they still want to accomplish the things they dreamed of. but never once have i felt that the characters are upset about the life they chose. it's just the viewers feeling pity for them which i agree is understandable, i wish my parents hadn't sacrificed sm of their dreams for me too, but that makes us the same as geumyeong. the show wants us to see that lives like theirs and their struggles are to be appreciated not pitied.
So then why was she able to speak when she was anxious and upset in the police car? When she can and can't speak…
i think she had selective mutism when she was younger, but it got better but she has been hiding it. now she feels comfortable not speaking so she just decided to let everyone think she still cant
