Pls forgive me. I think that many people DO NOT say that Gem is a bad actor. He has proven to be a wonderful actor in MC and MSP. It’s just that in MLMU, he’s a bit stiff. (Is he ‘supposed to be emotionless’?) Perhaps the direction? Perhaps too much stress due to pressure from gmmtv n the sponsors?

True. Gem Fourth in MC working with P'Aof, who's the producer for MLMU. In MSP working with Niyomsil, the same director for MLMU. Personally, I think there's pressure by both GMMTV and sponsors. Too much pressure can ruin anything. I think MC and MSP did not have the same pressure to Gem Fourth and the directors.

For me personally... it's the acting. Seems forced. Characters seem one dimensional. Chemistry between Gem and Fourth is non existent. (I prefer the chemistry of Sea and Keen of Only Boo.) The series has been overhyped to the limit which creates expectation taller than the Everest.

I think that GMMTV is banking on big names for this show. Gem Fourth P'Aof Niyomsil. The stakes are high with this one. That's why it's kinda overhyped

I haven't watched the Japanese version. However, if it's about the contrast of personalities, then I prefer Sea and Keen's performance in Only Boo!

Sadly for me, the first 2 episodes of MLMU were such a letdown compared to Only Boo’s first 2.

A lot of people would be very very upset if this series doesn't fly to the moon. Just look at the number of sponsors compared to only one sponsor, let's say, for Only Boo! haha. But I'm still optimistic. I won't drop it. But honestly, the 'the one week impossible wait for the next episode' is absent from my heart.

Errr... you're not crazy. Been rewatching it so many times already. Only Boo! is my happy pill.

I do think that the lack of chemistry might be intentional. But if that's true, then it might not be a good strategy as people would drop the show early. But I'm puzzled not so much of the chemistry but of the one dimensional characters that Gem Fourth are portraying. And as if that they are 'forced' into the characters.

Not coming into the show without high expectations is an impossibility. It's Gemini Fourth. It's Niyomsil. It's P'Aof. All top tier names. So I was surprised that the first 2 episodes didn't reach up to my personal expectation. I'll wait for the next episodes though.

The director is the same for MSP. And P'Aof is producing this too. So big names in this project. But I do agree with you. The chemistry so far is non existent. HOWEVER, that might be intentional because GemFourth are not supposed to be in love yet. I'll give it a try and continue watching. Though the frown on Gem's face kinda worrying. As for the production, I think the cast and team had been under a lot of pressure to perform. And sometimes, too much pressure can ruin everything. Let's just see what the next episodes would bring. But based on these 2 episodes... they're quite underwhelming for me.

IMHO, somehow the acting seems forced. And Gem looks tired. I'm not sure next episodes but somehow, the 2 leads are on the verge of being one-dimensional. I like Chokun's performance.

Can't wait for Sunday. Can't wait to get off this train. Been miserable since ep 10
