Oh, you are right, i am sorry. I kept thinking that they wanted the adopted son to inherit the throne but i forgot that Yi san had some younger brothers. The princess alomg with her adopted son tried to depose Yi San and make one of his younger brothers be crown prince.
What the princess does now, is that she tries to get rid of all of Yi San's loyal people in the palace. That's why she asked if Deok im was the one who asked the king to save Yi san.

She will officially become a court lady. What she wears was a ceremonial outfit. She is having the coming of age cceremony that is necessary for the trainees to become official court ladies. Their outfits look like wedding ones most probably because after the ceremony they are all the king's women, they are not allowed to have any relationship with men. After becoming a court lady she won't be able to leave the palace, she will have to live there all her life. From the preview it seems like Yi san wants her to leave the palace, but if she goes through the ceremony she won't be able to do that.

I just know that the ex boyfriend will make the marriage announcement official, maybe even go ahead and reserve venues and stuff for it. And then he will put all the blame on the FL and expose her "affair". While he will pose as the hurt and cheated on good boyfriend... so sick of this

A typicaal historical drama where the FL does not know that the ML is Crown prince? Sure. But it was all done in 2 episodes. How is that tasteless? It's 3 episodes and it's boring i guess.
Good for you that you finished the mess that was RTMR. It's all your taste, but it's ridiculous that this drama created so much negative emotion that it made you write all that after 3 episodes.

Though i am not that much into watching scary bloody people at 1 am here i am doin exactly just that because the drama is just so good!

The older drama "Yi San"? You could give it a try, it's longer in episodes so it will take you a while to see it all. I watched it long time ago so i might be biased and a bit nostalgic about it. I liked it , but for you it depends on what you want to watch it for. It's more for a storyline, the life of Yi San and the struggle he had for his whole life. There is romance, but not as we are used to now, i don't remember a kissing scene, just warm hugs and looks at eachother. It's with lots of politics and conspiracies, betrayal and forgiveness.

This is based on history, so yes, she will be a concubine. So far his wife does not sppear in the characters list, but she might be as it will be really difficult to ignore the queen in a historical dramas. In "Yi San" another drama based on the same story, the wife was portrayed as someone who could have no kids, and she was really kind to the female lead. So i am thinking it will be the same here as well.

A historical drama i really liked a lot was "The moon embracing the sun", maybe you should try it. I watched it so many times, while sometimes angsty, the romance is there and it's the best.
The others that i liked a lot were either on the a lot of episodes side and have quite some angst and politics. For those too, i like parts of the drama really much while not caring for the whole thing, but i think nostalgia plays a part too. I'm looking for more serious setting type of dramas that focus more on romance, "The Red Sleeve" looks promising

I watched both Scarlet Heart and Hwarang. I finished Scarlet heart, the drama, the acting, story and setting overall was nice, but i just did not like the story line. And it's not something i would go back and watch again, however i can ppreciate its value. As for Hwarang while being a huge fan of Park Seojun, Park Hyunshik and V i just could not finish it. It was a mess overall. And the actors could not save it.

This drama is really my vibe, i can't wait for more episodes

I sense this throughout the whole drama and not just Rowoon, so i am guesing this is the vibe the director went for and it's not really my cup of tea. It just seems like a webdrama that got newcomer actors first try out playing a historical drama. But at the same time i know the actors can be good at acting in a more serious setting, Park Eun Bin did a really convincing portrayal in "Secret Door". So all i am left with is that this is what the production team wanted the drama to be like. If they were not dressed in hanbok i would just confuse this with a modern drama.

Yeah, nothing worse than having the story go along and then inserting halfway throuh the drama that they actually met as children and they are eachother's first love... So cliche...

I think having the children's story helps you get more perspective of the drama. At least here i think that scene of young Yi San with his grandma was necessary to the story.
I am not sure if their encounter as kids would really have that much impact on the story. Even the reveal i don't think it will be that important.

I am not sure if the Prince is already maried at this time. But he will have a wife that is from a noble family. Palace maids could only become concubines and not official wifes

If "Love 020" had the "You are my glory" female lead, the drama would have been perfect. I liked the story a lot of Love 020, but the female lead was too stiff

I like the drama, but something feels lacking in a way. The acting is a bit sloppy... maybe i am too used to the more serious type of acting for historical dramas

I am so excited for this, there are so many historical dramas lately, this is my paradise

It's an older one, but i recomend you Queen Seon Deok. It's longer in episodes, but it's with wars, and battles. The heroine is really awsome and you will start liking the villain too.
