It's fiction but it's tone deaf fiction. Imagine, if you will, a drama about the Holocaust which pictured Jewish…
Stop spamming with that blog post. I can already see their narrative dissolving. So the story is not set during the protests, but in the scene where the main lead is chased by the police, there is a group of activists singing the song that was used in the protests. Do you think everyone is dumb and can’t tell why they used that song, sung by protestors on the street in the context?
All of those concerns were debunked and dismissed. Like how the entire premise is not set in the period of the…
If JTBC actually cared about those victims, they would not wait for the drama to unfold for things to be clarified. They would aknowledge why those people had concerns about it and address every single one of them. Just as before they said the main lead is not a north korean spy. But both on their official website and in the drama they present him as a north korean spy. So how can they say they addressed the concerns when they did outright lied. They only want to air the drama and make people watch it. They don’t care about the people’s opinions.
I am thinking and jtbc don’t care about those concerns at all. You know not everything is done in good faith. I would advise you to think as well
Ah, right. People can do no wrong. Never. JTBC are known to be angels and they have nonconnections to the right…
This is how you miss the whole point of the discussion. This has nothing to do with me. And it has nothing to do with you, cause as i see you are neither korean neither have relatives who were in the protest. This affects korean people. Not you. So mind your business and let them decide what to say in their own country
"The petitioners claim" or "pretend" should be more right as the two first episodes just show that their "arguments"…
Ah, right. People can do no wrong. Never. JTBC are known to be angels and they have nonconnections to the right wing supporters in korea. It’s all good everyone, jtbc promised us everything is ok, we gotta trust them
All hail the new "Cancel culture" . Not want to be rude but for International viewers history is the least bit…
This comment pretty much proves the reaction of people here defending the drama. International viewers don’t care. But if they don’t care, they should leave these matters to the people who actually care
Stop telling people what they should tell too. I don't think you or anybody can speak for all Koreans because…
You guys give 0 fucks about the history because you choose to say that the people showing concern are butthurt and just antis. That people here give 0 respect to the victims of those protests, that you don’t even care to understand their concerns.
Snowdrop distoring history is not a groundless claim.
All of those concerns were debunked and dismissed. Like how the entire premise is not set in the period of the…
Debunked by who? The families of the victims spoke about their concerns, but that doesn’t matter i guess. The use of songs that were known to be used during the protests in the drama? The use of names of the characters exactly the same as the names of the protesters during that time?
For a community that loves watching series and movies from korea, there are lots of people who give 0 fucks about the actual history of the country.
Go ahead and watch the content, but don’t disrespect the history of the country you seemingly like. Better shut up if you are not from korea, and let them decide what kind of content offends them.
Stop telling people who actually survived after those protests and the family of those who passed away fom the torture that they are butthurt. They are not butthurt. You are just an insensensitive person and should reconsider your actions.
great episode today, it was in no way a filler and carved the way for many things, then again they are telling…
I loved it, i just personally see the clock ticking, seeing ao few episodes left and how much story there is to say. And i wanted more scenes with the main leads. I think the drama should have had 20 episodes for sure from the begining.
ok so i was just going through Wikipedia and i found out that Queen Hyoui was married to Yi San at the age of…
Throughout the drama everyone acted like she does not exist. Now that Yi San is so close to becoming a king, i wonder what will they do... I hope the queen appearing (cause let's be honest there can't be a coronation with her not being there) will not give again more reasons for Deok im to again refuse becoming a concubine... In history and in the book, she and the queen were good friends. So either they'll do some time skip or we'll have to deal with another drama...
Wait, now i listened more carefully to the preview for ep 12 again, and The King mentions the name of Prince Sado, he says Yi Seon instead of Yi San. He is clearly losing it. I still wonder what will happen in ep 12... While i hope the King finally dies and Yi San is crowned, i know that after the King was dead, there was some turmoil in the palace before he got the throne. I just want to see Deok Im become a concubine already, i am too impatient I think it's frustrating how a drama that should be about the story of Yi San and Deok Im is focused so much on the old king, like there are 17 episodes and we are in ep 12 and the old king did not die yet.... please spare us, old man go to sleep already
Episode 12 is titled “King of Joseon” 👀http://playvod.imbc.com/Templete/PreView?bid=1005299100117100000
Yeah, i think we’re saying goodbye to the current king in the next episode. Seeing the preview, it seems like a goodbye to him. Now i can’t wait to see Yi San as king

I am getting so attached to this drama, and i just love the way everything is portrayed, the main leads, the costumes, their story...
