I agree with you on the 4th life. I wished she lived her life there until she dies of old age like CK on their second life . But I am greedy and I love the scene when they reunited in the heavenly realm .it was unexpected and so they ran to each other which at that point confirmed that they really loved each other.

4. The hairpin. It was a risky move because she is powerless there and even in the immortal world she still does not have CH’s powers. That is why CK followed her after she removed the hairpin and everyone is looking for her to make sure she is safe. The immortals are banned from going there. The fact that she followed her there is brave enough for me. I guess I am just so sheltered in life that things like this impressed me. Lol tBH I probably will not go myself.

The Cang Hai life, the way I understand it is that she did it to save CK because she knows that her twin’s power and the Emperor’s power is too much to overcome. CK is still weak from the XM inciden and helping the Luo twins, her power is half, they will both die and she realized that the only way to defeat the emperor once and for all is to sacrifice herself, then her twin’s power will die with her. She does not want the Moulo clan to be in danger and CK to die. She is the leader of the moulo clan. If the power of the Emperor is not controlled with her twin’s power helping him that will be a disaster when she and CK dies. And I think that is why we have a story.

2. The Linglong heart, it is obvious that she loves him desperately that she went to the mountain to get a cure and almost died even before she knows about his love for her. Is that weakness for you? If CK said your heart is the cure of my heart I need it. I bet she would have given it to him. She does not know that she is immortal at that time. Do you think that scenes of her getting old and dying of old age would have been more appropriate? Then we would have missed that beautiful scene when they fall into the cliff. So maybe the screenwriters goal is to create drama rather than portray her as weak.

That is your take so there is nothing o can say that will change it. My take is that she is the opposite of weak. She is pliable but not easily broken, consistent with her character and unyielding.
1 the arrow, she knows she is immortal but she also truly love CK at that point, i can’t remember her exact lines at that moment but it goes like love can make you do things - including sacrifice your life for the one you love. Would you not do it for your love ones. Shld she just watch him? We have watched this scene so many times even in modern drama but that is not considered weakness, for me it is not weak to die. Even if I am not immortal I would do it, if I am immortal, I would do it too.

strength is not force, ones strength can be expressed as willingness to adapt or be pliable to save the ones you love. Therefore I don’t see the FL as weak, rather she is the opposite. For example she saved CK many times in many lifetimes, she took the arrow in their 2nd lifetime. In my opinion it is brave that she is willing to give her heart to CK if he asks for it in the 3rd lifetime and remove the hairpin in the MF despite the fact that she knows she can die. I agree with you though that a Tiger maybe a wrong representation and something beautiful and fragile maybe more apt.

I agree. I don’t get it either. She is kind, humble and grateful. She will admit herself, her acting needs work but IMO her acting is better than some new actresses . She is not at best actress level but has a good potential to improve more. I enjoy her dramas despite what other people say. Her Varshows are funny and not boring. I wish her more success and may all her haters disappear.

I got very curious about her when there were a lot of means comments about her in midsummer is full of love. I watched that drama after I saw produce 101. I thought that her acting was decent and she actually has very sad expressions when she cries that I find emotionally touching so I started kind of following her dramas. She had a lot of super mean comments about her acting during heroes and Chong zi dramas that borders on bullying. I felt bad for her. I don’t mind her acting and like you, I don’t find her to have just 1 expression I actually think she is better than some of the more popular actresses. So it all boils down to taste and preferences. Haters are just louder in expressing their opinions. It can actually break her career if they continue to do this. I mean they have the right to express it by all means but there are some of us who really like and enjoy her dramas.
DYX is a way better actor than most of the actors that are super popular. In my opinion he just needs a drama that will hit the mark and he is on his way. It could have been LYST but the haters ruined it. Also if he is not handsome then who is? Haters will hate, that is what they do.

I actually loved it more after the rewatch. And I agree this is underrated.

Done rewatching. TBH, I miss them more and I appreciated the drama more. I wish this drama was given more love because it deserves it. Maybe in time when people will watch it without prejudice against anyone or anything they will enjoy it too.

I realized that the cast has an overall chemistry, although DYX’s performance is awesome and deserves the praises from everyone, his chemistry with the FL and the support cast made the drama more entertaining and enjoyable. I cannot imagine any other FL that could have suited XY, again people this is just my opinion. To say that he alone carried the drama is a little misguided and unfair.

I am in the minority that enjoyed the Fl’s performance so this made this drama one of the best for me. Not best actress performance but still enjoyed it.

It is rare to see a drama that portrays the love and trust they had for each other. Straightforward, no nonsense, deep and profound. I can’t help falling in love with them.

To future viewers yes this has a happy ending. Short and sweet. ❤️

Exactly. To criticize someone with the wish of them improving is healthy and productive but to constantly bash and ridicule is not helping the actors. I think the fan base of this actress went on defense mode after they totally destroyed her online. You see they see something in her that they value and admire, they enjoy her acting etc so to bash them is questioning their choices and values as well. I totally understand them. That is why people shld be respectful and thoughtful about sharing their criticisms. A famous adage say if you can’t say anything good about something it is best to shut up.

I am not a fan girl. I just want to point out that we are just different people with diverse backgrounds and of course experiences so we process and interpret same things differently. There are watchers here that hated the FL, criticized,like her a little bit, loved her and enjoyed her performance. So to say they have lower expectations because they are ok with her acting is not respectful to their opinions too don’t you think? I am not questioning your opinion, tbf that is mild compared to the others, I am just pointing out that irony that you expressed your opinion and bashed the other watchers expectations.

Well there is a mute button you just need to do the work and press it. For me though her voice is not baby like. If you define baby it is younger than a toddler, so to say her voice is baby like is very exaggerated. I guess that is your point. To exaggerate. Kidding aside, isn’t she supposed to be childlike in the sec arc? She grew up a spoiled brat. Although her acting is not best actress material I think she pulled most of her scenes and compared to the ML she has a lot to learn. On the lives that require a more mature roles she did great in my opinion. This is just my opinion though.
