I followed her career after I watched Dance of the Phoenix and saw in the comments how she became an actress. I got curious and watched produce 101. I agree with you, she is one of the most hardworking actors out there and her story should inspire more people. I also think that she is better than some young actors her age. She has a lot of haters though. Almost all of her dramas which I enjoyed btw are bashed by haters. In my opinion, she just need more guidance and direction with her acting so she gets better, she already is. When I think of her and her haters it reminds me of this quote by Seneca - a gem cannot be polished without friction nor a man perfected without trials. She seems like she is able to overcome all of it so she will be fine. Thanks to people like you who see her worth and vocal about your support.

In my opinion this drama is an accurate depiction of the tumultuous, exciting and crazy thing called first love. The main leads portrayed their roles well because you can feel the characters insecurities, passion and carelessness. It also emphasizes the different perspectives of love between and man and a woman - a woman once attached and in love wants commitment, a man usually acknowledge that they are in love later on and at that age, not so committed to anything, they want fun and taking things 1 step at a time.

Personally, I would have avoided the ML as a plague had I met someone like him while in College. However, I would have missed the passion and the love and frankly the adventure. My advice is always follow your heart no matter where it leads you.

This has been a slow but fun watch for me. 8/10.

A really cute and slow drama, even relaxing for me. Not a lot of dramatic tension, has an interesting story and an overall good drama. The main leads have cute chemistry.

I am glad I gave it a go despite the low rating here. It is a good drama because of the story, the main leads has good chemistry and great acting from the cast. The only thing is that 24 would have been a perfect length for me. Anyone looking for a solid drama, give this a try.

She is not even confirmed to play this role and you are already wasting your time bashing her. Stop the hate or whatever you feel towards her. Or is this your perverse sense of looking after her?

The problem is haters will hate no matter what. They will find a way or something to hate on her. So she should do what is best for her and ignore the haters who wants to pull her down anyways. Life is about taking risks. If she does not take these opportunities now that is on her way she might not have anymore later. She needs to work hard to perfect her craft and improve herself more while she is at it though.

I agree about your reservations about their pairing. They are probably more suitable to be brothers in a drama. A LYT and LYN sounds better - age and chemistry wise.

If an actor is already in the cast he has to care if he is a good director. If he/ she is good at his job, a newbie is like a new canvass, he/she can create an art/ actor out of it. You pointed out, in any job you have to start somewhere. There is a training/ orientation period, the person doing the orientation can make you one of the best or the worst employee. And like any other job, people progress differently. Most employer decide to give their new employees more time and direction. In the end it pays off.

I actually like their story too. It is so realistic I could almost feel suffocated by the mom like I am the daughter. The actor who portrayed the mom is so effective I loathe her the entire drama. I promised myself I will try not to do this to my kids. And Ruohua is very much a victim of an abusive relationship. She can’t get away from her. She rationalized all the bad actions of her mom. So in your rating you shld consider how effective they were in their portrayal of their roles and no matter how much you hate the story line how realistic is this their part of the world. Just my suggestion.

This is getting better each episode. I feel sad realizing that there are only a few episodes left(6). I don’t know about you but I feel so proud of Anxin during her dance. She nailed her parts everytime. Award Gods pls make sure she gets an award for this drama. On the other hand, Ruohua’s story is heartbreaking. 💔. Can’t wait air for the next episodes.

Yes it is a good drama. I think the haters hijacked it and won the parade. But eventually when the controversy calmed down and everyone settled down, people realized it was a good drama. They hated 1 actor and made the rest of the cast and crew suffer. They all worked hard, too bad people are too shallow these days.

I agree with you about the importance of good directing in a drama. Of course there are natural born actors who still excel even with a mediocre director but a newbie can shine brightly under the direction of a brilliant one. I really think that YCY has a good potential to be a great actor with time, experience and more training. People can be harsh when you are still starting but I hope that people can be kind too. She recently had a formal training in acting. I hope she perseveres and proves everyone else wrong in the end.

I hope people who are dropping it is not rating it because imo it is not fair. Yes I totally agree with you Elaine should win an award for this role. She is a very talented actor far more than most of the high traffic actresses now. Real talents needs to be recognized. And on top of that she is very beautiful. I will be checking out her other dramas for sure.

ZK appears to have genuine feelings for Rohua, he showed it - got them out from the dorm situation, find them a place to go after they are no longer allowed, find Ruohua a job, respects her decisions - saying we can stop if don’t want to (sex) and so much more. The problem is her mom, she wants someone that she can manipulate like her daughter. She wants them to stay with her because she does not want to be alone for the rest of her life. ZK is not allowing that. I totally understand him if he has to say something about the mom to Ruohua. It is better to be honest than hold a grudge. I hope they surprise us at the end. I still want them to be together.
