It's definitely forced to the extent he is doing it lately, but of course not all of it is forced, he does have that side to him too. Im just saying he is intentionally curating his image to be more cutesy and a crowd pleaser (loved by the public more) which is kind of obvious because at first his military show caused a lot of controversy and backlash in Korean society, that style of harshness is not viewed upon favorably there.

Im going to start this soon when I finish watching it, Im hearing its way better and more mature which is the use' with Korean dramas since theyre very childlike and rated 13 and below.

Yeah I know he is conservative, honest, considerate and the rest, and that all fits with his more serious/rigid/aggressive and mature personality that seems like his real personality, and the one he displayed on the military show. Being loud and funny fits into all that too, but not the cutesy soft personality he seems to be pushing more ever since going mainstream. Ive been following him since the beginning and can tell the difference. That doesn't mean hes a bad person or his real personality does not have kindness or empathy, just an observation.

which is so weird bc these old dramas really give the raw experience of life back then and Korean culture these new ones are so cringe and watered down and extremely politically correct its just a different vibe with the old ones but sadly theyre not as known, and ppl just want the new actors as eye candy they dgaf
