i thought it was promising but it got boring now. I am now on episode 16. What I was also annoyed was on parts or scene where she was not able to attend meetings for both departments and was being blamed for it. Like, yeah, she works on both department, but can't her take a better schedule or adjust the schedule or appointment of the meeting? both departments are on the same company, just different department right? can't the team delegate tasks
Bale's expressionless face makes him look scary. Like did you guys see his eyes there's nothing no emotions as…
Agreed! He's so good. And I also checked where I have seen (what drama or movie), I learned he was the ML in Temptation of Wolves, one of the KMovies I actually liked.
just on episode 2, but kinda disappointed or did i expected too much? i was expecting like on "17 again" by Zac Effron, the ML will show some basketball or at least the dribbling skills where he will humiliate the antagonist. but it was just all verbal confrontrations. anyway, just will keep watching and hopefully will not get bored.
I heard that some people don't like watching drama adaptations from manga/anime because dramas delete/take away…
Well I encounter some anime or manga fans that are like that, but for me, I am unbiased and still get to enjoy both. It's true that there are some scenes or chapters that are taken away or deleted or not included, but it can't be that easy to put all it in the movie or LA right. Besides, what would there be to watch if you almost always know what will happen, so I am okay when there is a little differences or twists in the adaptation as long as they still give credit to the original works.
Thank you for making this list. It's been a while I haven't been watching again jdorama, since I have focused more on anime and manga nowadays. I only get to watch Japanese movies or series now only if it is available on Netflix. Some of the titles here are I have already watched, and really recommend other asian drama enthusiast, and some I haven't and are now adding to my PTW.
This is a nice article. Now I am more curious to see those dramas and movies. I have always been curious about Asian history. I guess we generally have an idea of Japan-Korea-China wars, but I am also curious for Vietnam. As of lately, there were also allegations about South Koreans atrocities in Vietnam. Looking forward to your next article.
To tell you the truth, I've only been interested in JDramas. I guess it's because of the poetic feel…
this comment almost sums up how I feel about jdramas: never underestimates viewers by using exaggerated dialouges, emotion can be explained simply using actors' expressions, the scenery, etc.
Too many dialogues, scenes recaps or flashbacks, excessive show of emotions which often being shown in kdramas turns me off.
4 out of 5 here I have watched, and I agree with you that their OST's is nice.
My other favorites: Hana Yori Dango, Rookies, Last Friends, One Liter of Tears Drama, Stand Up, Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto, and many more.
if it's a kdrama, i tend to watch it more while it is still airing, 'cause like what's mentioned here, you don't tend to get bored or the anticipation on what's to happen next is higher than when the drama is already finished. I mean i really have no choice but to watch each scene. You feel like each scene is important (even when they don't, or even when it is really unnecessay which often it is), that you don't want to regret skipping. But when it comes to jdramas, I tend to watch it when it is already finished, or at least 2-3 episode ahead, because most you are guarranteed scenes showed are essential in the next episodes. And also most kdramas tend to be longer and have more epiodes, so I can't seem to binge-watch it, I often lost interest after a few episodes.
My top 5 list:
1. HANA YORI DANGO
2. Itazura Na Kiss
3. Full House Thai Version
4. Friends
5. One Litre Tears Drama ver. *tho not really main focus is romance, but I really felt for the MC's chemistry....
She's one of the first Korean actresses I have watched and really admired... I am very rarely impressed by Kdrama actresses' acting, but I must say I love her, and the way she acts. I guess I must check out more of her earlier dramas.. and her dramas we're the one real gem of kdramas...
is this version worth the watch?
