I've seen some comments, not only here but also on Facebook, and it baffles me. CGI is not an easy task, so knowing that they had to create so many living creatures, in which the only template they had is a 2D drawing, is amazing to me.

And I agree, I've seen much worse too, so to say this is bad is a shock to me.

Apparently, this is the most expensive korean drama to date. They probably used most of their money on the CGI (which you can tell, the "wings" in the last ep were breathtaking). And I agree, I like this much more than resident evil, and I can see why they've been compared. Can't wait to see season 2!

Now that Sweet Home has been adapted, I wonder if there's any hope for Bastard also having an adaptation? If that ever happens, I will cry tears of happiness

Idk what people are expecting with the CGI. Yes, it's clear it's animated and unrealistic but what monster is realistic anyways? They did well with coloring and animating the movements of the monsters, making them as "realistic" as they could be. The CGI here is also definitely a lot better than in many other films and series, and once you get used to it, the CGI seems natural.

agreed. The series was heavily inspired by the comic, but it's pretty clear that the plot's aren't meant to be fully identical.

I would highly recommend watching Be Melodramatic! It has similar aspects, yet it's very different. If you liked Age of Youth, I think you'll like Be Melodramatic too ^^

I was concerned about the CGI, but from what's seen on the trailer, it looks pretty decent. Kdramas which have come out from Netflix have had a fairly large budget, so my expectations are high with this one too, especially as a fan of the webtoon. Can't wait.

nono I never meant it as to say that "he was always straight", it was more that it seems like that's what he believed all along, and exactly because of what you mention, the fact that his mom is always mentioning girlfriends and grandsons, which could've very well lead him into thinking that this is the person he has to be. As I mentioned, I watched the ep without subs, so I definetly missed out on many things. But I agree with what you said.

Since Teh gave up the admission and Aew declined the offer, wouldn't this mean that both Teh and Aew are now on the same level? Having to both take the exam? This could be seen as a positive thing, since Aew mentioned wanting to continue seeing Teh as both a rival and an inspiration. Having Teh being in the same level as Aew creates this natural rivalry, which they've had going on since the very beginning. The most positive outcome of this, is if both Teh and Aew get into the course the same way. This would create a balance, which is much needed in their relationship.

I have a theory: I haven't seen the subbed episode, so this is all based of of what a saw and tried to connect with my very broken thai lmao.

It's unfortunate how Teh did it to help Aew, but in the end Aew was determined to work up to the spot himself. The feeling of disappointment and confusion is almost too much, especially since Teh is already confused about his own sexuality.

The ending of ep 4 made me so anxious somehow. Even without doing the action, I felt like I had to gasp for air, cause of how intense it was. I honestly felt so exhausted after that, but that only shows how impactful not only the acting but also the directing is. Everything seems so realistic, which imo is weird cause I'm used to the typical asian drama dfghjk. God I felt bad about feeling happy because everything was so sad and frustrating.

I believe it's because he couldn't get aroused. I've only seen the ep without subs, so I may be totally wrong in my interpretation but, throughout the series, Teh has been super confused, he still is. He's always had this idea in mind that he liked girls, I mean he chased after Tan for two years, but that idea quickly faded when Aew came back into his life. I don't think he ever thought of himself as anything else but straight, which is why he is even more frustrated, cause he doesn't know what exactly it is that he is. I think he wanted some form of validation during the masturbation scene. He knew he liked the character, he knew he wanted to be like him, he knew he was male. So I believe, him trying to masturbate and get aroused by a male figure he's idolized for so long, was him trying to seek an answer on his sexuality. But when he didn't get aroused, he was left unanswered and his confusion remained.
