guys the first 2 episodes were kinda lacklustre for me, the whole premise was cliche (especially cause i saw the first version and i didn’t like it lmao). does it get better or are ppl just rating it high cause they finally got a chinese bl after so many years
you liked SWDBS?You'll definitely love it..we're saying the ML here graduated from Ahn minhyuk University of loserism…
honestly the pacing is great, not a single boring moment and the character's are well written. it has a bit of everything, fantasy (time travelling aspect), thriller (trying to prevent death), comedy, and of course romance. based on your other interest I think you'll enjoy this one too!
movie wouldve been even better if they actually portrayed belgium as belgium and showed their actual refugee system instead of creating a fake one to highlight the sobstory of the main character. ironic that they portray european's as non-welcoming of north korean's when south korea is infamously known for their unfair treatment towards defectors. But looking past from that (really annoying) aspect, the movie is pretty good. Just a shame imo
it's been ages since I've felt so much frustration in a kdrama episode. not a bad thing at all, and not frustration in which I'm mad at the main characters being annoying/dumb. this episode felt so real. the frustration layed in the way the side-characters were so arrogant in their actions and the pure hypocrisy they showed against not only soohyun but also jun and sobin. I've haven't had such an urge to throw a chair at someone in such a long time. also, I'm not mad at any of the main characters - mainly due at the fantastic portrayal of them individually. they may lack some communication between them as characters, but as an audience we get to understand why exactly these three characters behave as they do. it shows how every person is fighting their own demons, and how we should never be too quick to judge (unless you're like those three other from the study group, cause honestly screw them). I hope the preview for ep 6 shows the actual mood for the episode, cause everything I could use now is a wholesome, comforting episode after the sadness and pain I felt during this episode.
having read previous comments it seems this is another Kdrama that can not deal with gay love but must disguise…
actually, we don't really know yet if it'll deal with gay love or not. Because the webtoon is not centered around jun and soohyun as a pairing as ppl think it is, yes jun gets a form of obsession for soohyun - but that's basically portrayed here. soohyun DOES have a male love interest but it's not jun 🤭
For ppl interested, then I've begun translating the webtoon (until an official translation comes out). It's not perfect, but I hope it'll fulfill most needs. I can sadly not post the link here, but you should be able to find it on a manga site by searching for the name!
I think some of the problems people have identified with the romance plot in the drama (like the fast progression…
I agree. Ppl keep forgetting this is a shorter drama so it's only a given, that the pacing is fast too - especially considering how much material there is in the webtoon. Since the webtoon is on going, I wonder how and where they'll decide to end the drama
I keep seeing ppl ship soohyun and jun after finding out that the webtoon is bl, but I skimmed through it and *SPOILER ALERT* seems like jun has more of an obsession w soohyun, whilst soohyun is actually romantically interested in jun's brother lmaoooo u guys are pairing the wrong ppl and not even knowing it 😭 on the other hand, sobin is a side character so it's interesting how they decided to make her a main in the drama, whilst jun's brother is more of a main in the webtoon he's a side here. I do hope we get to see soohyun and jun's brother interact as that's honestly the only thing I'm really missing from the webtoon in this adaption. Besides that, I'm really enjoying the show so far and Jihoon has only surprised me with his acting. That guy's eyes are EXPRESSING. I've had chills multiple times already
The male lead feels lacking. I don't know who he is, but for an alpha male, in my opinion, his acting is still…
he looks like his character in the webtoon, so I can ser why the casted him. I agree, he's not fully believable in his role yet but I do see potential. I'll give it an episode or two until he reaches a good point and he, as an actor, understands his character more
