I always like seeing a normal looking person succeed in kdramaland. Don't get me wrong, he's gorgeous! But he also looks very natural, manly and, well normal. 🤣
I hear you on the story front, bro. It had holes, it made no sense and it was boring. Not to mention the toxicity…
Speaking about toxicity. The relationship between Diao and Yi is unfathomable. I would stage an intervention if Diao was my friend. As for Lian and Keua, did anyone ever ask Lian if he actually was into guys before the engagement? Or did I miss it?? Then to turn around in the second half with lessons about how to joke with your gay and female friends...
I agree with everything except the Zee part. Bro his role as Lian hit me like a cold dead fish to the face. But…
Haha cold fish huh? Yeah I see what you mean. I think because I was watching him in the other show with Wawwa (Plern bin something), I was really impressed that he could portray so different characters.
This felt like the last BL ever to be made. It was like someone called the show producers while the show was still being filmed, and told them this was going to be the last thai BL that was ever going to be made. And so the makers scrambled to throw in as much woke messaging and PSAs that they could in the last 6 episodes. Which is approximately when I kinda lost interest. As other people already said, the plot was nonsensical and repetitive, but worse than that, it was the ham fisted virtue signalling that really threw me off. Look, I am as woke as the next gal in here, but I like when shows trust me to understand nuance and subtext. I dont need it spelled out in neon letters. (Did anyone else roll their eyes at Ton being told off TWICE in less than an hour for a behavior he has had for 10 episodes?)
There is a lot of kissing and making out scenes, and some might like it. Once again, to me, it felt like pandering to thirsty fans. There is such a thing as softcore erotica, and I do not feel the need to bring the genre to dramas. I am not a prude, actually I usually appreciate skinship in my shows. But I do not like easy, unnecessary make out sessions that are used as FILLER!
The show has two really big redeeming qualities: (1) the show looks extremely good and high value, (2) Zee is a GREAT actor, and he had chemistry with everyone, he made me wish I as a boy and had a chance with him haha.
I wish people would not rush to add tags on a dramas page before they have really watched it. The modeling tag in here is so misleading when you know that the only modeling in the show is the FL standing in front of a shop; wearing a cute uniform and handing out pamphlet... And it lasts one and a half episode total. This drama is not necessarily the worst example of the practice, but guys, this needs to stop. We can no longer trust tags to find dramas with a particular theme. I hope if you read these words, itll make you think twice next time you add a tag. Dont forget that this is meant to help fellow MDLers ^^
I really hope that he gets to play a happy character soon. His best characters are tragic, but hes so talented, I believe he can play a happy guy too. I just wanna see him smile! if I had known that My Sunshine would be his fluffiest drama in a decade I would have appreciated it more at the time hehe.
Wallace's profile pic is gonna be stuck on this one forever i guess ;( when they hit u with the "theres no reason…
Haha Im getting tired too of the Moderators here who happily reject any suggestions. My last two or three suggestions were rejected with very dry answers. I guess they dont really need our help anymore to run this place ^^
Im so sorry that some people think its their right to stuff another person s mouth because they dont agree with the statement theyre making. I happen to like this actor, but please feel free to write your dislike on his page any day of the week. Your comment was the most innocuous critic Ive seen in my life LOL. People need to chill out.
BDSM scene with Implied Thrusting which was cut in Tv version. But one31 uploaded it hereI never seen something…
Do you mean wildly stupid? I've noticed at least once or twice before, they'll give a SM kink to the evil guy. As if sexual preferences had something to do with a person's character. Also the scenes in this drama are really awkward. You can see that the actor is really uncomfortable with this. It ends up looking stupid all around.
Two recent deaths of mains in two separate dramas. Both did nothing for the story. I would rather had the writer…
Exactly. I threw my little rant last week. Since he died I can't watch the show anymore. Lazy writing, and it took the only interesting/suspenseful element of the show. What a waste.
Why did they need to kill Touch? This is SO unnecessary. And it's not even realistic. He had a loving family,…
Hello. Alright I need to go back to the scene then and figure out what killed him. Still his death is lazy writing. I never said Archun was gay, I'm referring to the bisexual actor, touch's ex who's now dating the female producer. As for the comparison between countries, i never set foot in either the US or Thailand so I'll happily take your word for it. Now I'm off to calmly watch the scene I missed.

I give it a 7, it was an okay fluffy romance.
