Agreed. The second slap feels unnecessary, perhaps only to give a ‘dramatic effect’.😓
In the novel there was a forced kiss, but they removed it in the drama and still kept her reaction… lol. Whatever verbal words he said, she could’ve just reacted verbally too—the slap doesn’t really feel valid here. Anyway… let’s see. And giiirl… every man in this drama has gotten a slap by now lol—good ones or evil ones..

Lol yeah… they removed his aggressive forced kiss and replaced it with a soft forehead kiss, but they still kept her intense reaction. That’s why I felt like they kinda did her character dirty..

ok sis, here’s the thing… I dug into the novel—I think chapter 84 or something—and turns out after he explained himself he actually forced a kiss on her and she slapped him. In the drama they moved the slap to after the explanation and it just feels kinda random af, like unexplained physical violence.. Anger is valid, but she could’ve just walked away instead of escalating it physically… they kinda did her character dirty with that. Anyway, let’s see today’s episode and their dynamic..lol
SPOILER ALERT1. Qi Min is the legitimate heir of the throne. He is the son of the crown prince who died 16 years…
Ok, makes sense now… Qi Min is a hidden royal identity, probably carrying big secrets tied to the fire and a messy, horrible past..... Xie Zheng is an influential noble and a more grounded power player. Thanks a lot, bestie!

Okay novel reader…help... I’m a bit confused—my brain has the memory of a fish ..
Why is Qi Min called a ‘prince’ if he’s not the emperor’s brother? Is it just a title, or is he actually related to the royal family?!! And what about Xie Zheng— is he related to the emperor, or is his status just because he’s a noble general???
