So it made me wonder if the drama might soften his character a bit. Who knows though — sometimes the cast is just joking around on set. The book apparently keeps him pretty terrible, so maybe I’m just being delusional because I like the actor lol

yeah..you might be right… but I’ve seen dramas redeem way worse characters than him .... And we still haven’t gotten much of his backstory yet — it’s all pretty mysterious. I know people say the book doesn’t paint him as a good character, but who knows, dramas change things all the time. I’m just hoping a little… maybe because I like the actor lol

Lol I know the linguistic meaning of the word, but I’m using it more loosely. To me, if a man is out there leading armies, winning battles, and killing enemies… that’s warlord energy. No sensitive feelings — I’m not using it in a negative way.
In this case, officially he isn’t one because he fights under the government, so he’s a state commander. But I’m not giving a news report here,..lol..I’m just saying how I see him .. He’s definitely not a soft, gentle guy… he’s fierce, decisive, a little rebellious, but still just. So yeah, in my head he still gives strong warlord vibes.

Giiiiiirl, any man leading an army, fighting battles, putting down rebellions, and doing the killing in war is basically warlord energy... lol..I didn’t mean it in a negative way ..just saying it symbolically.... And yes, in the book the prince is definitely an ass… but my romantic brain is convinced the drama will fix him.
As for the kid, he’s lucky to have a mom like her. Let’s hope they sort out the whole dad situation… and if there’s no dad in the end? Honestly, who cares. The kid is lovable, and his mom is more than capable of taking care of him.
We have one of the most satisfying things in dramas: the audience knows all the secrets while the characters are walking around completely clueless 😏 Watching the realization hit their faces… that’s the good stuff...lol
The reveals I’m waiting for:
-Our girl discovering the quiet husband is actually the marquis warlord 😭
-Him realizing his new “business partner” might actually be his rival prince…
-Prince Qi Min discovering that kid might actually be his (hopefully ..lol)
-Qian Qian finding out her mysterious stalker is literally the prince ..
-The uncle realizing the nephew he thought was dead is alive, back for revenge, and ready to ruin his life..
-The whole village discovering those two “random guys” are actually a marquis warlord and a prince, just casually hanging around as a house husband and a mere merchant... 😂
