Guys, quick review please....

I'm seeing really mixed comments everywhere, and I'm literally pressing play right now...

How is it so far?

Prince Li, her sister, her stepmother... heck, even Ye Li herself.... Nobody feels completely innocent or completely guilty anymore.

Everyone is carrying wounds, making mistakes, hiding things, or doing questionable things for reasons that make sense to them.

Prince Li frustrates me to no end, but I can still understand where some of his pain comes from. Her sister has done things that make me want to pull my hair out, yet she's also a product of her upbringing and insecurities. Even Ye Li isn't some flawless saint—she's grieving, traumatized, angry, and capable of making dangerous choices when pushed too far.

That's what makes the story feel alive. Everyone thinks they're protecting something, chasing something, or surviving something.......LOVE IT..

I can't wait to see where they take this...

Watching him slowly help her out of those darkest corners and face the reality that her loved ones are gone could be one of the most powerful parts of the story...

The fact that the drama is treating grief and healing this seriously is honestly amazing..

Okay, so... he finally knows the truth about her messed-up mind and the way she's been carrying her dead loved ones with her all this time, and I honestly can't express how happy I am to see a C-drama take this route...

The more I watch, the more I feel like this isn't really a romance or even a revenge drama. At its core, it's a healing story—two deeply wounded people learning how to live with their scars and slowly finding strength in each other.
She's carrying years of loss, guilt, trauma, and unresolved grief. He's carrying old injuries, impossible responsibilities, and secrets we still don't fully know. Neither of them is okay, and somehow that's exactly why they understand each other.

What I love most is that the drama doesn't treat her pain as something that can be magically fixed by love. He sees it, understands it, and meets her where she is instead of judging her or trying to change her. And she offers him the same understanding in return...
She's helping him heal physically and stand again. He's helping her carry the weight of her grief and slowly find her way back to herself...

It's quiet, messy, painful, and incredibly human...

My eyes are always on the main leads, BUT... I have to admit that Cai Zheng Jie, who plays Prince Li, is doing a really good job...
Beyond the pretty face, his character is messy, complicated, and frustrating, and he delivers every emotion perfectly...

I can't stand Prince Li... which is probably the best compliment I can give the actor...lol

It should be the order from the previous Emperor to the previous Prince Ding to return to the capital.Since that…
thanks a lot...yeah..now I get why people might be willing to kill over that edict.

Without it, Prince Ding looks like a traitor.
With it, he looks like a loyal subject obeying the emperor's final order.

That's the difference between execution and vindication right there..

I posted my guess above:https://kisskh.at/779368-mo-li#comment-26461730
Giiiirl...I went through your theory, and it's actually really interesting...

So you're saying the missing imperial edict may have done two things:

-Ordered Prince Ding's side to return to the capital.
-Named Prince Li as the legitimate heir to the throne.

If that's true, then whoever possesses the edict holds proof of who was supposed to inherit the throne.

And that's huge, because in palace dramas there's a big difference between:

[I should be emperor.]
and
[I have the late emperor's written order proving I should be emperor.]

One is a claim. The other is proof....

“I want him dead or alive”… our man ordered

Now I’m suspicious. Are we targeting the enemy, or is this actually a bigger move to get rid of the rival?...lol

Oky… who else has a feeling our man already knows the identity of the masked man?

That stare during the fight said WAY too much.

Prince Li… dude, you’re busted...

It was very pleasing! The tree branch falling was so symbolic. It was almost like her mother (the tree) was watching…
totally agree bestie...that scene was just perfect...

I love that reading. The tree felt like her mother's final act of protection...And when the witch survived and our girl was about to lose herself completely, our man stepped in and pulled her back out of the darkness.

One protected her body. The other protected her soul..

The way he threw himself to the ground just to pull her attention away from her own demons was amazing.

One second she was completely consumed by rage and grief... and the next she was running to him, leaving all that darkness behind.

I love the harmony between them...
It's like he can read every wound she's carrying and somehow knows exactly how to pull her back when she's about to lose herself...
