Itās not up to production how many episodes thatās the review board. I think this drama originally was more…
yeah...youāre probably right. I just checkedāepisode counts arenāt fully up to production. Theyāre decided by the review board, and a lot of dramas get trimmed during approval...anyway..I still want more..lol..
Honestly, I donāt think the producers saw this coming at all. You can tell the drama was made with care, just without realizing how hard people would get hooked. If they had, thereās no way it wouldāve stopped at 28 episodes.
The foundation is crazy strongāengaging storylines, layered characters, a smart and fresh VR concept, fire chemistry, clean visuals, and solid acting all around. It just works.
I really wish it was at least 32 episodesāthe story clearly has more to give. Maybe Iām biased because Iām way too into this drama⦠but yeah, I definitely want more. š
Well put!!Also this is one rare SML where I want him to have a happy ending as well. I am looking forward for…
Agree .... Thatās actually one of the dramaās biggest strengths.
The cast is very solid, and the harmony between them feels natural, not forced. What I appreciate mostāsame as youāis that thereās no exaggerated acting, no over-the-top reactions, no unnecessary cringe. Everything feels grounded and restrained, which makes the emotions hit harder. Iād love to see things resolved in a fair, justice-driven way too. But at the end of the day, it is a storyāand a really good one. I honestly didnāt expect to get this invested but here we are...lol Hopefully this sets a standard and weāll get more dramas like this in the future: strong writing, mature performances, real chemistry, and trust in the audience instead of spoon-feeding drama. Fingers crossed ..
Yes, ty. Very interesting characters analysis (especially considering that their characters buildups are limited…
I totally agreeāthis drama shouldāve been 36 episodes. Thereās just too much going on to properly fit into 28: the complicated family dynamics, the fatherās case, the romance, and the entire VR storyline. I genuinely like this drama. It has strong foundations and several compelling plotlines, which is exactly why it feels rushed at times. The VR concept in particular is solid and interesting, but it never really gets the space it deserves as you word it.. Honestly, I donāt think the producers expected it to reach this level of success when the project was first put together. The cast chemistry is impressive, the cinematography is on point, the acting is strong, and the story works. All in all, itās one of the best dramas Iāve watched in a while.
Yeah they both have fallen for same woman but the most important thing is FL fallen for ML and choose the best…
Just to clarify, the purpose of my post is character comparison, not to center the discussion around who the FL chose.
I appreciate the enthusiasm for the ML, but this isnāt meant to turn into an emotional debate or a ātaking sidesā situation.
Iām interested in thoughtful, analytical comparisons of the characters mentioned in the post. Iām not interested in childish responses or battlefield-style drama over fictional characters.
If you have meaningful points to add to the comparison, feel free to share them. If not, itās better to move on. Saying that characters ācanāt be comparedā or trying to dictate how others should discuss the topic isnāt constructive.
Next time, letās choose our words more carefully and keep the discussion mature and on topic.
So apparently Iām now analyzing the guys in this drama⦠didnāt plan it, but here we are š
ML: -He carries pain quietly, turns it inward. Patient, emotionally controlled, smart as hell. -He questions everything and never stops chasing the truth. His fatherās case never stops haunting him and he wonāt rest until his name is cleared. -Even when it hurts, he chooses integrity over comfort. Heād rather suffer in silence than live a lie. -Emotionally reserved but solid to the core. His strength is endurance and self-awarenessāwhich is why he holds himself back from the woman he loves, even though itās obviously killing him inside. -When he loves, itās intentional and protective. He doesnāt throw feelings around, but when he commits, itās real, steady, and deep.
SML: -He pushes trauma outward and turns it into ambition. -He doesnāt question the systemāhe plays along with it. Power, status, and approval matter more to him than the truth. -Emotionally reactive, always chasing validation and control to cover up his insecurity. -His jealousy toward the ML isnāt just rivalryāitās because the ML had the guts to break free from the ugly system heās still stuck in. -His idea of love is warped. Heās barely experienced real affection, so he mistakes kindnessāor even indifferenceāfor something more. -He thinks heās different from his dad. And when he faces him, he swallows the insults and anger, trying hard to prove heās not the sameā¦
What They Share Both basically grew up without a real mother figure. (The MLās mom exists, but emotionally? Yeah⦠no.) Both are successfulāone self-made (ML), the other backed and groomed by family power (SML). Both are elegant, educated, intelligent, and socially polished. Both carry a strong sense of responsibility and sacrificeājust handled in very different ways. And yes, they both fall for the same woman. Of course they do...LOL
The mum is on survival mode but is going out of her way to mess things further. She keeps trying (lukewarm effort)…
I agree that sheās very much in survival modeābut thatās exactly where I struggle with her. Survival explains her fear, not the damage she keeps causing.....I also understand why revisiting the past hurts her. But believing the āsuicide to escape responsibilityā narrative without ever questioning it feels less like weakness and more like avoidance. And feeling indebted to her so-called savior doesnāt justify hurting her own son in the process. Yu ends up paying the price for choices he never made.
As for the childhood incidentāYu breaking into the safeāI actually think he was looking for clues. Evidence of his fatherās innocence. A child searching for answers, not causing trouble. If anything, that moment shouldāve been a wake-up call. Instead, it seems to have pushed her further away, when it shouldāve drawn her closer.
