And the SML isn’t a red flag to me. He’s troubled,..but we don’t actually see him being bad with women. . He’s respectful with his stepmom, respectful with the FL, so I really hoped they’d change the direction.

Girls like her—the emotionally mature, nurturing, steady ones—they weirdly thrive with men like him. Strong on the outside, quietly fractured underneath. Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense. If they were way more toxic in the novel, that’s probably why the drama version feels so off—they toned it down but didn’t rebuild it in a believable way.

You can absolutely create a strong, painful crisis between a couple without cheating and still make it hit hard. Miscommunication, fear, insecurity, pressure—there are so many ways. But this? OMG. It just feels lazy and poorly adapted...lol
