I'm with you! It's so annoying to see so many shows where people are struggling with their sexuality. I like it as a theme sometimes, but that isn't what BL is about. It's more complex than that, and almost all of my favorite shows never act like being gay is this big, traumatic thing. I feel like the whole closeted gay stuff is SO cliche and overdone. I haven't seen this drama yet, but I'm glad it dared to go against such a tired trope.

Oh, I do have to add, though, that I really liked Tiffy! It's rare to get such an awesome female character in a BL. They're usually either cutesy, jealous, or evil/bitchy. I wish we could have gotten a little more about her past and her issue with her mother, but she was a sexy and cool addition to the cast.

It wasn't bad, but I felt like there were several plot lines that just fell flat or were left unresolved. While I appreciate that Aey was never redeemed after his shitty behavior (which is also a typical BL move, to try to make us feel sorry for the jerk), it also seemed like we just left him suffering for no real reason. He ended up just being a device, and yeah, he lost everything and everyone, but he didn't have a good start to begin with. His family treated him horribly, his heart was broken, he didn't get the guy, and in the end, he has nothing. That doesn't excuse his behaviors, but why beat on him so much when he ultimately ends up beaten anyway? I thought maybe the special would deal with that a bit, but from what I've read, it doesn't. Are they hoping for a second season or something? Or was it just another attempt to challenge a trope?

I feel like the only people with full resolution were the main couple and the straight couple. Everything else was kind of up in the air. But to be fair, I just finished it. Maybe I need to let it simmer a bit. I think I just would have liked it a little more if it weren't falling over itself to be meta. Also, the sound effects and toilet humor, wtf. I almost stopped watching during the five minute scene of a guy crapping.

Am I the only one who felt like the ending was kind of sad? I mean, I liked it initially but the little bit at the end sort of bummed me out. It is fitting though. It's a very meta show, and I appreciate how it calls out toxic fandom and the BS in the BL industry, but sometimes it was like Inception up in here.

Thanks for clearing it up! Once I see them in action, it'll be easier for me to recognize them. I'm with you on the pairing though.

Oh okay, I might be seeing the wrong person. The profile pictures don't always properly portray the actor, and I'm not familiar with him in other works, so I could be mistaken. I like that combination better, though.

Does anyone know where this can be watched? I don't know if people even go to this page anymore, but I really want to see everything Fluke is in, and it sucks how much of it isn't available.

They would be really hot together, but unfortunately it looks like the end game is with one of them and Folk, just based on the pictures. It looks like they're fighting over him. If only these things could just end in a threeway relationship, ugh.

Same, I never watch these as they update, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Now I have to decide whether to keep doing this to myself every week, or try to put off watching it for several weeks. x_x

I wish it had been longer! This was a fantastic piece. More than anything, I wish m/m stories had more action and intrigue in them without it just being a misery fest. I think if it had been longer, it could have really explored some of the themes that were introduced. But the more mafia/crime-related BL we can get, the better. The male leads had fantastic chemistry, and those fight scenes were amazing. Those must have taken so long to choreograph.

Right? That heart condition detail is concerning. It looks fluffy, but they get you like that. I really hope it has a happy ending.

I agree, the friendships were really the show's strong point. I really appreciate that the couples weren't just in a bubble of their own. The people in their lives were very important. And I was pleasantly surprised with the secondary couple. I wanted to see a certain someone kiss a guy, so I was bummed about that, but I did appreciate that not all close relationships were romantic. I feel like that's rare in shows like these, both BL and het.

Wtf, what a waste of a car accident scene. If I'm gonna go through such a tropey show, I at least want the love interest to feel some emotional distress over his future boyfriend. To be fair, I'm only on episode 5, but I don't see how it would be properly implemented now that he's out of the hospital. I had nowhere to rant about it, though, so I came here. How random and pointless.

What, really? I would love that! Must be kind of weird with him playing both roles and all, but I'm down. I mean, assuming everyone ends up together and gets a happy ending.
