Anyone else noticed that the FL is wearing like the same outfit (overalls and pink sweater) for most of ep 1 and 2. I wonder if they had a filming error where they forgot that it's different days or its intentional because I never see dramas where the leads wear same outfit for more than one day LOL

i tried watching 2019 ver when it came out and dropped after 3 episodes. Found the FL too melodramatic and unrealistic and ML wasn't very charismatic and didn't feel chemistry between them. From watching the 1st ep, I think I like this FL a little more but I'm really not sure if I can invest my time in this. I love unrequited love and first love plots but not melodramatic ones that drag on

I have to agree with you. I find her character kind of unrealistic. One moment so melodramatic and the next super chill in front of her crush...that doesn't work irl. I'm an introvert and I could never speak like that to a crush.

I know! That's what 100% will happen so I'm prepared...just living in my clown world and hoping for an unexpected twist. Seojun's character was built perfectly that the SLS is too strong. I also think the main characters are pretty cute together and I really love that he doesn't care whether she's bared faced or wearing makeup, it's so healthy and beautiful. Ahh I hate it when both leads are perfect

Yeah that sounds more realistic knowing what kdramas are like. I wouldn't want it too rushed as well, I just want Seojun to have a somewhat happy ending

Right!!!!!! Me too, I want the revolution and for an actual plot twist in a kdrama for once. Start up was so disappointing LOL. But him going away, coming back and getting together again sounds like what'll most likely happen and the boring typical kdrama route even though I'd feel bad for Suho too

I feel like beauty standards are a big thing in Korea. When I visited Korea, I even saw primary school kids with full on makeup and fixing it in the bathroom, they do come off super cliquey as well. I feel like Korea is such a hard place to live in as a teen because you have to look good all the time and get good grades to get in college. It sounds super stressful and there's a lot of bullying where the unpopular kids buy food or cigarettes for the bullies and so on.

So Suho, Seojun and Jookyung were spotted at the airport so there's speculation someone will leave. Netizens have bought it up it may be Jookyung because of what the mum said in the preview BUT if Jookyung is leaving...why aren't her family going with her or at least sending her off...that makes me think that MAYBE it's Suho who goes to Japan bc his dad gets hurt (as per webtoon - think the dad got injured in Japan so Suho had to go look after him or something). So MAYBE it will follow the webtoon format from there on and Seojun will be the one to be by her side and cheer her on and eventually ask her out and she falls for him.

Remember in a video, Hwang Inyeop said his fave scene was when he no longer wants to be seen as a friend to Jookyung...perhaps that is coming up soon. In an interview, Jookyung was asked, "What's Suho to Jookyung" She replied "first love" When asked "What's Seojun to Jookyung" she started talking and was cut off and they were like "no spoilers" HMMMMMMM I'm being totally delusional

But I really do think that it's Suho at the airport because
1) If it's Jookyung, her family would at least be there whereas for Suho it's just him and his dad and lets say his dad really did get injured in Japan so its his friends sending him off
2) If it's Jookyung leaving, that defeats the purpose of the story because she's just running away over and over again from her problems

Oh gosh I LOVE Seojun here...finally this drama is picking up. In a way I do get Soo Ah's reaction because if you're best friends, your real face is a pretty big deal and she probably felt upset that she didn't know despite being best friends. When the Hyemi transferred over, she was friendly to her despite Hyemi not being "pretty" so I don't think she's THAT fussed about Jookyung's face but more the fact that she kept it a secret.

I hope Jookyung will learn to be comfortable with her natural face in the upcoming episodes

So I know this drama was based on a webtoon and is published on sites like "WEBTOON" where creatives can share their stories through webtoons, I am wondering if there is a version of just novels/fanfictions that creatives can write without the webtoon aspect? Especially ones that you allow use of fictional Korean names (not wattpad) Thanks!

So I just finished the drama, I'm an ABC so I could understand like most of what was going on but I just found out its gonna be subbed, I do wish it was subbed earlier

Overall a really good drama but sad, get your tissues ready

Everyone I figured out the plot twist that Seonho and Suzy were referring to...the plot twist is Dodal endgame haha

I am giving the drama a 8/10. Despite me being mad about endgame and all the plotholes and issues that weren't properly addressed in the drama and lack of character development, I really enjoyed the first half and lurking here, on Twitter and Reddit for everyone's commentary and theories. It's disappointing that the second half was poorly executed but this was the show that kept me going

I'm also a big Nam Joohyuk fan and refused to believe that another man would steal the spotlight from him (I literally didn't believe it when my friends said I'd get SLS) NJH did a fantastic job portraying NDS and it is a shame that character was weak compared to HJP

Exactly. Its such a shame because I honestly enjoyed watching the drama for the first half only for it to go into shambles

Exactly such a waste of time and its so frustrating extremely disappointing from the writer when her past couple of works have been really well laid out and clever

Also I can't believe they haven't released that JKN song that was playing in the cafe in episode 2!!!! Kwill ost is really nice though!
