Yang Ze (recognises Lu Xing Zhi): Appreciates the arts (the morbid kind), has pent up anger issues and hides behind a facade of success (money and social status). Probably a red herring. 2. Zhang Si Cheng (Bai Xiao Fu’s ex, recognises Wei Zheng Rong): Definitely has an inferiority complex, has a son (which makes him more suspicious since the first and second murderer are father and son). imo ZSC seems more likely to have a grudge against the police (for his failed marriage) and to seek gratification/feelings of superiority through murder

In ep 9, both Shi Qiang and Wang Miao are at the same stage/level of the game (i.e. both have not yet deciphered the fundamental model/structure/mechanism of the Three Body world)

Hmm… yes, that could be the case. But Hyun Jo started seeing visions after the first murder. In the context of this drama, imo, it can also be seen as the mountain’s (less extreme) way of intervening while bringing the truth of the 1991 tragedy to light.
