really? i'm on ep 35 and i think he is a very good actor🤔 maybe you can mention what scene are you talking…
There’s no particular scene that I’m referring to. When I watch his scenes, I get a sense of “ah… he’s acting” rather than being brought into the emotion he’s trying to bring across.
His character in the book is very out of touch with his emotions so it makes sense for him to act this way. But…
I’ve completed all the episodes and agree that he does have more emotional scenes towards the end. Maybe it’s just personal preference, but his performance (e.g. portraying of anger or sadness) lacks depth. Comparatively, Ruan Lan Zhu (who should be even more out of touch with his emotions then Ling Jiu Shi) feels more genuine in his expressions.
Hmm… imo the actor portraying Ling Jiu Shi can’t do emotional scenes (feels stiff/awkward). He’s eye candy but I kinda wish they had picked another actor :(
There are reasons why the title is "19th Floor" instead of the novel title "19th Floor of Hell". I read somewhere…
Ah yes, I just felt like others who did not know about the 18 levels of hell would have missed out on its original relation to the title. But thanks for pointing it out too
