Every BOF version up to this day has been successful and I just name dropped it bc you said dramas nowadays are doing better than before which they aren't. As I said, the most recent Romance hit was CLOY. No one said that all Romance dramas are flopping (in SK), just that a lot do despite doing well internationally. It's not surprising since I've repeatedly seen Koreans complain they're too boring and why Rollercoasters like Penthouse are more successful.

That's definitely not true, stuff like BOF, Stairway to heaven, Descendant of the sun etc- were huge hits and had an impact. There was no getting past them and the huge, recent Romance drama with the same achievement was Crash landing on you. Sure some do well intentionally (which isn't much either, since we're a little number) but in Korea they flopped. I've seen Koreans complaing how recent romance dramas are boring, there was even an article where the FL cried bc her drama flopped in SK and the top comments were all, well it's boring, not really a surprise.

I really enjoyed Hospital Playlist actually bc despite it being calm stuff happened. Kdrama nowadays really need more interesting relationships and a little spice, I'm not surprised a lot are flopping rating wise and K-viewers think they're boring.

You haven't tried Run On and a lot of recent Kdramas. I swear the took the drama out of Kdrama.

No offence but this should've been it's own drama instead of a remake it didn't deliver the same energy and even failed at the ML, the key person. And it's soooo bland like wow.

Imma pray that the leads end up together and no one dies. I'm so glad I found this and all the characters are interesting bc a lot of dramas were recently ... bland.

The synopsis sounds like ..., can't BL get better plots and be more creative? I mean come on.

The thing is that due to covid they definitely can't film this but SOME news would be great to assure us or spoil us how S2 would go if it's not possible. This is annoying.

This is how I felt watching, the author really tried hard to make it progressive to the point it's boring.

It's too anti climactic for me, nothing ever happened and the ML is kinda bland. Makes me wonder what's with Kdrama nowadays. The word drama is in it, shouldn't that mean smth?

Okay imma be honest all these healthy relationships without drama nowadays are hella bland and killing shows. There're no sparks and it's called drama for a reason. Don't get me started on the useless 2nd MLs (generally speaking) ;;

Man this is great and tbvh I don't understand why in every damn drama ppl complain about the romance. 'This would be better without romance' for you, I love romance. It's pretty much the reason I pick up dramas, let ppl have their thing and just skip it. Disliking romance isn't a personality trait and doesn't make you smarter than us, who enjoy it.

Imma be honest Thai BL shows are overrated (both in ratings and popularity) at this point. That's all they're producing and yeah, they used to be fun at first bc they were rare and it was smth new but now it's the same drama all over again, every single time. We know the beginning and the outcome. 'Straight' guy will miraculously fall in love with the gay character and the only existing female character is either the villain ex or the bff. Honestlly rip thai actresses, now they're barely ever the leads except if it's about body swapping to make it gay. Is it that hard to produce school drama with all kinds of relationships. Sexual orientations shouldn't be used as a trend or for easy cash grab from mostly het girls. Why is it that het girls are so into gay couples? Is it bc they love to see 2 hot boys kiss? Well GMM will milk it as long BL stans eat all of them up and have no standards.

Smth I always wondered why are het women so obsessed with BL?? It's not like they're men or can project themselves onto them. It's really weird.

No offence this drama is rated way too high and we need to start having standards in BL. GMMTV keeps producing shitty BL dramas and everyone eats them up bc yay, 2 guys kiss. I mean come on shitty acting, an evil ex (rip thai actresses that's all they're), half the characters are gay, the ML is homophobic but then miraculously falls in love with his gay neighbour and everything is picture perfect fine. They aren't even trying to come up with something new or give it a realistic, unexpected touch. You know what would be interesting or at least somewhat realistic them staying as besties. The asshole slowly accepting them all for who they are and the other boy finding new love outside of their circle. The message would he great but nah that won't happen what would a Thai GMM drama without them ending up together be.

This!!! What would he do if she started dating someone or got married. At least call a few times lol
