Need Kdrama writers to realise that it's okay to give MLs personalities, flaws, issues, depth, growth, character development a backstory on his own not just Female Lead. Recently so many of them are overshadowed by second MLs, it's insane. They fr have a bigger presence nowadays. Not liking the 2nd ML here either btw but the ML is an unseasoned chicken.

Most of the "strong" FLs who kickass (bc suddenly every drama has to have that) are cold, toxic, emotionless or rude. Dropped many of them bc they ain't even given character development as compared to old school MLs. It'd likr the roles have changed and now MLs are so bland. Miss the variety.

God do I miss Drama like these these days. The romance was slow, amazing chemistry between the leads and a pure rollercoaster of the emotions. The characters felt real. They didn’t do everything right, struggled, had a mind on their own and were neither bad nor good. Some are calling them irritating but aren't humans like that? It's not Black and White. These characters are not supposed to be perfect and flawed. If the same tragedy that fell upon due to undying love happened to us we'd change to. If the one we trust betrays and uses us obviously we'll feel hurt like the FL did. The complexity and growth of these 2 characters was beautiful. I don't quite understand why some are saying they dropped it but if you expect angels or some puppy running after a cold FL on screen maybe this isn't for you and it's better to watch some watered down Netflix drama.

My fave scene was when the FL drove her car against his. My heart stopped. Just wow. Insane.

Can I just say I miss real slowburn romances like this? Nowadays they all kiss or date by ep 4 (if they aren't married already) and there's nothing to look forward to. We don't even see them conncet, pin for each other or get to know each other.

Oh why? He was the best character for me, showed trauma symptoms and needed to learn to trust people

Rewatching this after years and can't explain how much I miss drama like this. The Male Lead and FL are both interesting characters with depth, personality and reasons, he doesn't just follow her like a lost puppy in need got attention. He has his own past to deal with. They have a connection, slowly grow onto each other and there the romance blossoms.

I see some say he's "cold" or "harsh" but these are realistic trauma signs, man got chased by a Killer, witnessed his mom being killed. Of course that affects you. What do some of you expect? He only lived for his hatred, desire for revenge and needed grow into trusting people again after everything he's been through. If he were an woman like the FL from Eve he'd get praised.

My conclusion is that i really miss drama like this, it was a pure rollercoaster of emotions. Drama these past years sadly don't hit as hard and really boring.

The comments make me laugh it shows that ppl really don't like humane or realistic characters. Are they perfect? No, especially the elders but we slowly see them grow through the issues, loving Baek and change to the better. That's what life is. Humans can be cruel and sweet at the same time. Sadly most of the webtoon adaptations don't hit as good as the drawings and often become boring midway, especially the romance and the characters (most of the MLs are kinda bland too, just puppies following the Fl with no depth or personality) hoping we'll see more original stories again soon

Hm, there is a ban from what I remember. Years ago I think a KBS drama having 2 randol girls date or smth got a lot of backlash that it went against some "law" or "ban". There was a whole investigation on it, the producers apologised and then cut the rest of their scenes. I think I read that on Netizenbuzz but oh well it's definitely been years.

Huh? Of course she does, she's stunning, got the money and her father is a plastic surgeon but that's not what I meant. I meant that her cheeks just look puffy in some scenes and at times it affects her expressions, I like her and don't have anything against her.
