It hurts me a little to see Hoya play a mean character. He was so sweet in Reply 1997. But I guess it's a good thing for an actor to play all kinds of roles.
despite the horrible remake of BOF, I would like try the American version of man from the stars mainly because it's being made by professionals with good budget instead of amateurs. But I just hope they don't make seasons after seasons and ruin it.
some people are complaining that the main couple lacks chemistry, but the truth is they barely need any kind of romantic chemistry at this stage of the story. Hyun Wook has a lot of baggage that he needs to deal with and he is still unable to forget his ex, whether it's out of love or guilt. I think all the actors are doing a great job. Even though Krystal seems a little detached from her character, she is still really refreshing to watch. I like her! Rain is as amazing as ever. As for Myung Soo, I actually love him in this because of the whole tortured bad boy act. But I really wish Ho Ya's character gets more screen time. Loved him in Reply 1997. Overall I love the pace of this drama so far and it's characters.
I'm on ep 40 and I have to say Nyang is the wisest lead girl I've ever come across. She's always one step ahead of her enemies and most of the time her enemies don't even know what (or rather WHO) they're dealing with. I think the only person who can fully keep with her intellectually is Tal Tal. I think that's why he favors her a bit more than his uncle. He acknowledges her wisdom and her sharp mind like no other. I like their relationship. Even Nyang agrees that Tal Tal could read anyone's mind and he's the only one who can keep up with her. Loving this drama!
The Trot Lovers recommendation, though full of spoilers, cracked me up. And I completely agree with it. Both dramas…
I honestly enjoyed FTLY more before the whole amnesia phase. I was so pissed when Gun was like, "hmm, I have a disease, so let me just tell her I don't remember her and don't like her either" He ruined the whole thing. It should've been her choice to stay or leave. Even when they lost the baby, she asked him if they could start over. He refused.

The best part was that there were no second lead syndromes here. Most people shipped the main couple, which I really loved. All these recent shipping battles were really getting on my nerves. lol.
Now this is one drama where I wouldn't have minded a 2 episode extend! They do it every freaking drama, why didn't they do it for this one. But then again, an extend could've dragged this otherwise epic drama. I'm going to miss it so much, especially Jang Mi! GOSH she's clingy but she's awesome at the same time. Haven't loved a female character this much for a while. Gong Ki Tae is equally awesome and his family too. I have loved, hated and pitied his mom throughout the drama but she's a great actress.
