Yes well said! This has also crossed my mind like how if Lee Minho or Park Seo Joon who played the NDS instead, will they still be overshadow by KSH? I mean LMH has such a huge fanbase and PSJ can act really well. I think NJH is not suitable for love triangle because he's often overshadow by the other actor in the same show, such as School 2015. Majority viewers chose Sungjae instead of him in that show.

Well actually from what I've seen so far from interviews you can definitely tell NJH is a shy guy and kind of awkward so maybe what you said is true, it's not all about popularity but they will choose who fit the role the most.NJH even cried on his new movie premiere (I saw this video yesterday) so he definitely has similarity with NDS.

Yeah it all depends on the actor's popularity. If HJP was played by more famous actor than NDS, then HJP will be the ML. I blame the writer for all the mess seriously.

With that script? Nah, I don't think any actor can save it. and I feel Kang Ha Neul is more suitable for happy go lucky role (which NDS is not).

Edit: Actually I keep thinking the facial expression and all that is also part of the PD responsibility. I mean does the shy/awkward type is the NDS they're going for or the happy-go-lucky type like Yongshik in Camelia. Tbh NJH also did a good job as a bubbly guy in WFKBJ. So it really depends on the writer and the PD.

Idk why the writer is going to make NDS a jealous and clingy man while creating that Living Buddha epilogue when clearly "sweet boy" character can be done correctly such as Kang Ha Naeul in When The Camellia Blooms, Seo Kang Joon in When The Weather is Fine, Kim Min Jae in Do You Like Brahms.

This. My husband and my father are watching this show too, and it's weird that they support NDS rather than HJP lol. So people who love the show definitely are not the loudest in the comment section simply because they are satisfied with the plot and have no complaint or whatsoever about it.

After reading all the comments it makes me feel bad for NJH to get this kind of role. Yes he is unlucky. From what I've seen in the swoon interviews I think he's kinda shy and mild mannered so I think he's not the type to ask got the change in the script. Well I hope this can be served as a lesson for all the party involved.

If this is not a red flag to the writer and the PD, I don't know what is. I think they value knetz comment so much over there so there's still hope for another ending I guess.

Honestly if it's a Japanese drama it all makes sense, flawed male lead, no happy ending etc. But I guess because this is a kdrama I expect more from it. Like a flawed character that will redeem himself at the end of the story. I hope the writer will develop NDS character for the rest of 6 eps.

What. Seriously you're a genius. This makes sense. But HJP already confessed to SDM that he likes her..romantically right? So if the writer will go to half siblings route, I don't think she will create that confession scene.

I think they were trying something new with the leads but it was poorly executed. I was so disappointed with the writer and the director, all the actors have been doing a wonderful job but it's ruined because of the storyline.

Can someone please enlighten me what is the purpose of the writer to give the supposedly male lead (NDS) all the dirts and keep giving HJP all the good and selfless deeds? This will result in viewers hating on NDS, and I just couldn't wrap my head around it. For what purpose?
