Honestly I understand mostly everything that happens in this drama... apart from the sudden crying scenes from…
She and LG are deeply in love but cannot be together. She has to forsake her world to be with him, but she cannot leave her dad and friends in Korea, especially with a psycho and his army on the loose. LG once asked her why she became a cop and she said she decided to be brave because not everyone can be. There is only one way they can stop the freezing - close the portal between the worlds. If the portal is closed, she will be in Korea and he, in Corea. If they don't close the portal, time in both worlds will freeze. This will also cause them to be separated forever, or only to see each other in "frozen moments in time" as what happened in the bamboo forest when he was not "fully there" and in her backyard when he brought her flowers and she sensed he was in another time. In addition to these, they are both in danger, either or both of them might not survive the clash with Lee Lim. Everytime they meet, they wonder whether they would see each other again.
Her hysterics in episodes 11 and 12 were due to above reasons plus the following: panic due to a near-death experienc (being kidnapped, escape from her kidnappers, almost run over by a truck, attacked by the driver), exhaustion due to this experience as well as walking for how many miles, dehydration, relief and pure bliss at seeing him again. As far as I was concerned, these crying scenes were natural and expected. I would have been disappointed about the depiction of her character had they not happened

it was a victim of negative press (controversies) that subjected it to undeserved nitpicking. 'so glad viewers…
yes, Korea ratings which went really low before ep 10. it managed to rise to 7.8% in ep 10 only to be hobbled again by bad press. Regarding the scar, here is an explanation: "If you look carefully again, the scar is on the right side of the neck is correct. Director doesn't make a mistake about that. Lee Lim held one half of flute in his left hand and another half in his right hand when the flute got cut in half by Lee Gon. Then, he strangled with his right hand and stab LG neck with the flute on his left hand. He only held half of flute on his right hand. Its was not used to stab. The blood on the left side of LG's neck is from LL's hand. The blood on the right side of the neck was from LG." Such fake and undeserved criticism undermined the quality of the show as a whole.

It's normal for a film not to be liked by everyone. What happened with TKEM was that the controversies used viewers' patriotism to sway their opinion. Every film has a flaw (see www.moviemistakes.com), but the controversies conditioned viewers to be highly critical of the show, nitpicking it for flaws that would have been ignored with other shows. And the negative press was brutal. The ratings slid for several weeks. When it finally rose after episode 10, the controversies were again published by a major news site even after the producers have already apologized for them. if this is not sabotage, I don't know what is.

Even though this is getting soo much hate, can u believe the amount of hype it's getting? the moment an episode…
i have been wondering about the hate too. i can't understand the amount of hate that would propel people to put a show down. i was horrified to see people actually cheering that a show is struggling

Do you mean the music playing at the end of episode 3, among other times? I like that too and pleasantly surprised…
me too. the instrumental was my favorite music in the series but after hearing the song, i'm split. The voice is so sweet, ethereal, it perfectly fits the music.

Finally they released a song that could be heard only on the piano version (which is beautiful) :)

I found episodes 11 and 12 mind-blowing. the build up in the previous episodes is now coming to a head

i'm finding the show more action-packed now, which makes sense. the previous episodes have been building up to these last few episodes

My apologies if it sounded like I was directly blaming the ppl in this site. My post was directed towards the negativity I have witnessed online, not just here. I am particularly horrified at the negative press this show has garnered. Right after it inched back to 7.8% rating last week, koreaherald again publicized the controversies. C'mon, give the show a break! It might not be perfect, but it is not half as bad as how it is being painted out to be. It definitely does not justify the relentless and brutal attacks directed at it

People are free to criticize a show. Most of the comments here are constructive. If anything, it's almost a compliment…
I heartily agree, people are free to express their opinion. But nitpicking is another matter. This drama does not deserve the deluge of criticisms lobbied at it. Some of these criticisms have become petty and ridiculous, like those about product placements. The drama might have lived up to the high expectations if only viewers were not swayed by those who are trying to sabotage it. It was a matter of giving the public a chance to understand what the writer-director were trying to convey. The production team had already apologized for the controversies yet the press just keeps harping at them. In the first place, nitpicking at flaws that would stir people's patriotic ardor is despicable. Fanning the flames of hatred is downright vicious.

Or the show is not that great, but because there's nothing else to watch and due to the cast people and myself…
this gave me goosebumps again :)
