Or the show is not that great, but because there's nothing else to watch and due to the cast people and myself…
i definitely agree; constructive criticism is always the best policy which is why I am appalled at all the destructive criticisms thrown at the series. My post is about people "understanding" the show, something that can change. It's not about "intelligence" which cannot, or is not easy to, change. Understanding requires interest in something. If one is not interested enough, he would not try to understand it fully, but it does not lessen the fact that some degree of understanding is missing. It's not a condemnation. It's a statement of fact. I am not interested in horror films, so I don't try to understand them, so I would forever be in the dark for why people love them. So I would never criticize "Scream" or "The Shining".

Lmao, are you throwing "intelligence" card here just because people critized this drama??? There's such thing…
Understanding does not just require intelligence, it requires interest. One probably does not understand the show fully because he is just not that interested in it. But if one is not interested in the genre (fantasy) in the first place, why would he care to criticize it then?

maybe it's just not your cup of tea, then, which is probably one reason you don't care to delve deep into it. Those who try to fully understand what the writer is trying to impart think it's the greatest kdrama ever, one that encourages imaginations to fly in a visually stunning way, and are pondering about those "frozen moments in time" that made it possible for somebody to visit somebody else in an alternate universe.

I am someone who is enjoying this drama but I fully understand why they would 'dislike' this drama so far. People…
People can dislike a drama but why skewer it for reasons that are not even important to the story? This drama is much much more than an imperial seal , or the architecture of a temple (that is onscreen for a second or less) or the design of warships (did normal viewers actually notice those?) One can almost sense that some quarters were trying to sabotage this series

It is confusing, which is why viewers need to pay close attention. I had to watch it several times to fully understand what was going on. But I did not crucify it publicly as critics did because I know the premise itself - parallel universe - would take a while for me to grasp. Once I understood the plot, i understood the pace. Once I understood the characters, especially the main characters, I understood why their love story had to unfold in a cerebral way, not all out cheesy way. He is a deep thinker. He expresses his feelings through his eyes, voice and just how he loves being with her.

One needs to understand the story to see why it is loved the world over. It is currently #19 in the list of most streamed TV shows on Netflix in the world, the only South Korean TV show in the top 20. It seems that those who criticize the show are those who don't understand it. It could be either that they are focusing on things to criticize thus fail to understand what is going on, or they cannot grasp what is going on so they only see the trivial flaws. It will be noted that all movies/shows have mistakes, even Oscar and Emmy award winners.
