Sounds interesting. I think they would be good together on screen. Wi Ha Joon is a really good actor. Someone who can make a memorable character out of a mediocre script. So I know he will do well here. Also I love JCW. His acting skills are also good.
He's been doing a lot of variety shows in 2022. The variety shows on MDL are listed in order of the first date the variety show began, not necessarily the date of appearance. For example the Omniscient Interfering View ep196 aired 4/23/2022.

Nice article. But Boys over Flowers isn't necessarily grammatically incorrect. You can compare dissimilar things in a poetic way. and most titles are abbreviated in English. I always assumed it meant that a girl would rather have Boys rather than Flowers. Like a girl who was Boy Crazy.
or even in a Literal way. like if someone said "You look lonely. Do you want these flowers?" "I would choose Boys over Flowers". Someone could say that in English conversation and the other person would understand what they meant.I know that isn't what the original pun meant.
Curious if this project is still a go. I saw IG posts from actors who were in it posted months ago with the food truck trailers. But now 6 months later there is no more information on the network or release date yet. Did it get scrapped?
I'm excited to see Hong kyung in something new. I wonder if this will eventually make its way to a major streaming network like Netflix or Apple Tv etc.
-I'm new to Japanese drama. I wasn't familiar with the main actor but he was very good in this. Also very handsome in many scenes.
-The OST was really good.
-The first 3 episodes were amazing. Really set the tone. There were characters to root for. I was hooked.
-Episode 4 it started to go downhill but still watchable. By episode 5 I was bored and quit the series for a couple of weeks. I started it back and completed the remaining episodes. It just got worse for me.
-For me the hardcore sex scenes were not an issue per se. In the first episodes they were titilating and sexy. By episode 5, the main character is saying he wants more eroticism yet the hardcore sex scenes in the series were getting more cheesy and quite frankly boring.
-The scene with the Kuroki lady walking in and demanding to have sex with the ML for the first time was so unrealistic. I know there are cultural differences but no way it happened like that. They made her seem like a sex zombie.
-The scenes with Kuroki's mom in reaction to finding out her daughter is doing hardcore porn was also unrealistic. I think maybe it was just bad writing.
-The Yazuka/gang/mafia stuff was overkill and honestly boring. I didn't care about these old gang dudes.
-Also when I read about the real guy behind this character, Netflix really cleaned up his image. For example he was arrested in Hawaii for using underage models in his porn, yet Netflix didn't address that at all and made it seem like he was arrested just for shooting porn in illegal locations or something.
-Overall, it is worth a watch mostly for the main actor's acting ability.
Waiting for english subs. Watched the first episode raw, not knowing a lick of Japanese but got the gist of what was going on. Honestly seems like an interesting story (just through the visuals). Hopefully english subs will be released one day. I'd like to watch the full series.
This poor kid has more credits than a lot of adult actors. I just hope he truly likes acting and isn't being forced. He is a memorable actor and I hope he has more success.

I felt like the build up went on for way too long.
The production quality was amazing. Felt like watching a Netflix original.
I felt like the actors were uncomfortable kissing. The one actor even laughed a bit in a kissing scene in the final episode.
I would recommend it but the current rating seems a bit too high for what it was.
