lol odd man out here. just finished ep 1 and maybe I had too high of an expectation but i found the story and acting very cringe. a lot of the dramatic moments seemed so overexaggerated and unnatural & the plot is also incoherent. almost like theyre trying to follow a hollywood mr/mrs smith formula and failing at it. could be yys overacting or the script idk, but something didn't click
starting ep 2 soon and there's definitely potential so hopefully it gets better
saw a comment say maybe iqiyi plans to do a competition airing with another platform/modern drama to further boost exposure & views. best guess it premieres on jan 1.

first her name was strangely infront of his in (all) melon marketing posts despite no official announcement, then plot was sneakily changed overnight right infront of our eyes from equal leading roles to female centric, today they were in cahoots with so many yxhs to mass post the EXACT SAME thing all over weibo demeaning czy's role, all with thousands of likes.. just because czy's name was going to be first in equal ranking as seen on the poster at booting ceremony. even worse is official announcement being delayed and prolonging fights even more
if we're being honest, equal billing with her is a downgrade for him and future resources but most ybs were willing to accept this since it's his choice, yet somehow even equal billing was not enough for her team. they still have to step on him repeatedly to prove she's apparently the bigger star.
