I think they skipped the actual deer hunting part. fl said to her brother to not to go to deer hunt and rest instead due to his injury. The feast was going to happen after the deer hunt. So technically the deer hunt already happened but they didn't show it :)

I agree. Tgey could just simply have followed the novel where she went to Yihe after 2 days of no contact with Sangyan to explain everything.

Even if she felt like leaving the last thing she could have done is to properly communicate with Sangyan and tell him that she is leaving and can't take it anymore. Sangyan deserves an explaination. Yes she has trauma and don't open up to anyone but Sangyan deserves better in the sense that he is used and thrown away again.

Sangyan playing that game with Yifen for years was included in the original novel plot too
