Even if she felt like leaving the last thing she could have done is to properly communicate with Sangyan and tell him that she is leaving and can't take it anymore. Sangyan deserves an explaination. Yes she has trauma and don't open up to anyone but Sangyan deserves better in the sense that he is used and thrown away again.

Sangyan playing that game with Yifen for years was included in the original novel plot too

They didn't have to change the novel plot this much. Sangyan was supposed to know what happened back then from Yifen, not from that filthy uncle. Yifen was not supposed to leave Sangyan. That filthy uncle was not supposed to become a "security guard". I was looking forward to that scene when Yifen will tell him what happened back then but they changed the whole plotline. I am quite disappointed. The drama already have sm angyst and longing but the plot made it worse for Sangyan and Yifen. She was supposed to be strong and call police on him when the uncle tried to hurt her during Mu cheng fairwell party, not still be that 18 years old afraid kid who again repeated the same thing of leaving behind everything.
