(for ex- remove overly sexual scenes or any other explicit thing)

huh? what do you mean by mianmian wasn't there in the novel? she was. originally the untamed was supposed to be a romance between wen qing and wwx but the script received lots of backslashes, so they had to write it all again. Mianmain was just shown as a member of Jin clan in the untamed (when she wasn't originally), the manhua and donghua followed the novel. Tho in all the adaptations, wwx was flirting with her using the "mianmian misses yuandao" poem.
