The actor is cool but the actress isn't? Lol aren't you being unfair and biased here? Plus she is just an actress who doesn't even have her own manager and is mistreated by her agency, she has to do with what she got and she certainly doesn't hold that kind of power over the scriptwriters, director, crew and other actors who are all waiting for her with expectations. Their whole society/culture seems to think differently, since even Cnetz are of the same mindset and they don't have an issue over this. They don't seem to think her character should bend over backwards, as you say, since they think she is also human and should priorities her wellbeing first. Because Shen Yue acted really well despite empathizing more with LDW than to GY and she was conflicted which she mentioned in her memo, but it was the script, director and even the ML tried to convince her about how her character should be. There was even a trending topic on weibo earlier today that "Lin Yi is more angry than Shen Yue".
