Am I the only one who finds it strange to watch yueyue and wang ge's romance line knowing how different their friendship is in real life 😂😅

Tho in the beginning it was cute to watch them and yuheng knowing that's when they met and became besties

It doesn't feel like watching a cdrama.I was giggling and laughing every episode. The confession on stage was lit.…
agree, I also thought she was more handsome in that suit than him, and he was more stunning as the female lead haha

and it was cute how everyone was imagining their own confessions on stage, including chai zi yu 😂

If you mean "Joyful Grown Ups" it started from Shen Yue's vlogs, but the varity show is filled with small hints…
They first met to film this drama in 2021. Shen Yue, Wang Jing Xuan, Wu Yu Heng and Zhou Yan Chen are foodies so they often ate together and got close. Even after filming, Shen Yue, Wang Jing Xuan and Wu Yu Heng still hung out togther often and became best friends so they often appeared on Shen Yue's vlogs over the years. The three of them have a lot of fun in her vlogs, they go on trips, visit places, sing karaoke, etc. Shen Yue's vlogs got popular and birthed the variety show Joyful Grown-ups.

So Shen Yue dies? No romance for her? She will be the only reason I would watch this.
Her character doesn't die, but the scene where she gets saved in the end is a deleted scene. You can watch that deleted scene if you search social media. If you like Shen Yue you can watch her parts mainly because this is one of her best acting & character portrayal by her that C-nets praised the most, and this is her prettiest dressed role so far, and her first costume drama. I also watched just to see Shen Yue, although I didn't like the plot, I enjoyed looking at her and her performance. (But don't get invested in any character or relationship because it all ends in tragedy.) Her character is all about loving her sister.

As for her romance she hangs out with a guy who develops feelings for her character but it's one sided (but the same actor plays the guy who saves her in the deleted scene and will be her future husband according to the anime.)

It's a pity that they deleted Qinlan's last scenes from the finale. C-fans were furious about it then they finally released them. I hope everyone can see the extra scenes of her ending and her talking to her son Yuechu, future male lead of FSMM: RMP.

They also didn't utilize Qinlan's full potential in the entire story. Qinlan also has divine fire just like Huaizhu and she could've helped defeat enemies just as much as others. They just made her fly off a cliff, if you didn't see the extra scenes you'll think she unalived herself.

Not just with Qinlan, with such a great cast and characters as this, if they used their potential properly the drama could have been much bigger.

But even though it was a small scene, Shen Yue did really well with the limited small time she was given at that cliff scene. It's amazing how her expressions and her eyes changed in seconds. From anger, to sorrow, to fear, to defiance and resolve, all those mixed emotions in her eyes, and also the youthful spirit of Qinlan, as she mustered up her courage to jump.

And mom version of Qinlan is such a great transformation, she became so gentle like a mom and so similar to Huaizhu, her sister she loved the most. It's very beautiful, the maternal radiance is all there. From a quirky, naughty little girl to a parent who can say deep words to her child. You can clearly see that it's the same but matured Dongfang Qinlan who has experienced a lot and has grown up. Shen Yue performed that so well, showing the feeling of having experienced the world. Once again, her eyes did a lot of speaking. Her last smile was so sharp, as if she was saying: sister, I miss you so much.

I hope they cast Shen Yue in many costume dramas because she suits them so much, her beauty suits the vivid colors and beauty of ancient costumes, and she can act really well. She's excellent at eye acting. She gave life to Qinlan, she's like the real Dongfang Qinlan stepped out of the anime.

Person Shen Yue
Why is she this popular? I have not watch anything from her that left me in awe.
Back in 2017 when c-dramas were not popular internationally, she acted in the low budget web drama A Love So Beautiful that somehow went viral and became a big hit both in China and internationally, making many people start to watch c-dramas. She carried that drama. It started the trend of highschool c-dramas and short haired female leads, got Korean and Thai adaptations. Then came Meteor Garden which is super popular worldwide with its manga and drama adaptations in so many Asian countries, and it was a hit drama internationally too. These two iconic roles and her distinct look different from cookie cutter Chinese actresses earned her a big fanbase.

She's not from an acting major and won these two roles through auditions back when she was a nobody (won Meteor Garden first). So she doesn't have the backing of other actors and the agency that signed her up is horrible, so her following projects weren't great as they should have been but she's been improving on her own. Recently C-nets are saying she's one of the few stars who can actually act well with her layered acting skills in her recent dramas Smile Code, Six Sisters (a hit household drama in China with respected actors) and Love in Pavilion.

But she's also good in the movies Yin Yang Master, One Week Friends, short movie Everyone Loves Charles and some of her other dramas. In China she's also popular for her creative and healing vlogs which earned her her own variety show Joyful Grown-ups and actually stopped the heavy cyberbullying she used to face which was much worse than Lusi's. And like banesaaaa said, she has many stans also because of her great personality, she's sunny, very witty, authentic, kind, funny, smart, self-driven. Makes you want to root for her.

She's also a chemistry queen, is very pretty and acts well so I'd say her popularity is a no brainer really.

Some Cnetz reviews of Smile Code:

"The emotions in this drama are really progressive and very real. It is easy to empathize after watching it. Including the actors' expression and interpretation of emotions in the drama are handled very delicately and naturally.

Gu Yi is just like us in a parallel world. He works hard every day. Even for talk shows, he is preparing seriously and accumulating jokes every day (don't worry if you are afraid of embarrassing talk shows! The episode 15 talk show is really a qualitative leap, very natural, just like I watched Gu Yi's talk show grow up). For the person he likes, Gu Yi is also brave to attack. Many people may ask why he suddenly likes Liang Daiwen, but in the drama, Gu Yi also said very frankly that he was "lusting at the sight of beauty", which is very real. Aren't many pursuits in reality "lusting at the sight of beauty"?

Her courage in love is the opposite mirror of us who dare not attack in the parallel world, but when encouraging everyone to pursue love, she also reminds everyone not to forget their careers. Even if she was hurt by Dai Wen's hypocritical words, she was still full of energy at work the next day.

The role of Liang Daiwen really interprets the contradiction between true expression and escape and retreat very well. He longs to be loved, but is afraid that his love will hurt the person he loves and the person who loves him. I don't think he is wrong. In reality, many people will avoid or evade love because of concerns. The many times of call back in the play actually let us know that his love for Gu Yi is not without waves. The progressive expression of emotions is really amazing in "Lost Laughter"."

~

"The respect for women, the view on love, the consideration of life and death, and the analysis of workplace work in the play are very beyond the single level of love between handsome men and beautiful women in previous idol dramas. I think no matter who you are, you can find a side of your own life in it."

"If you haven't watched "失笑", you will not know how advanced the camera language of the directors of the domestic entertainment industry has been! !
Lin Yi and Shen Yue double the atmosphere in terms of appearance, acting skills, and the CP feeling between the two.
This drama will not only make people immerse themselves in the emotional line of the protagonist, but also make people gain the power of being warmed and healed by the protagonist. These powers come from the subtle sense of dependence, healing, and redemption between Liang Daiwen and Gu Yi...
Gu Yi is the little sun who will always warm Liang Daiwen, the cold robot. But Liang Daiwen is not a real machine without emotions. He will also stand up in his own way when Gu Yi is bullied or sad.
Although Liang Daiwen always pushes away repeatedly, and Gu Yi also forgives repeatedly, the director and screenwriter have given reasonable explanations for every detail. This is the real sweet and abusive interweaving.
The director made countless touching call backs in the drama☎️This call back even returned to reality, such as Shen Yue said at Wang Sulong's concert: "Liang Daiwen there are so many stars✨" This can only be experienced after watching the drama.
As I said in a review I posted before:
The true feelings about this drama cannot be accurately described in words.
In short, please watch "Lost Laughter" all over the world🤲🏻"

"#TV series Lost Laughter# is pretty good. I have experienced emotions, the sense of striving to make the best of a difficult situation, the difficulty of life and the courage and joy of breaking the ice. It is a complex, wonderful, relaxed and pleasant feeling, a very different taste, and it also attracts me.

I feel that the selection of Lin Yi's drama explores many spiritual issues. This drama is really not a lighthearted little puppet show, it is quite profound.

Shen Yue and Lin Yi also have a good sense of CP. The scene of sitting and pushing a person when they can't ride a bike is so romantic!

This drama is not easy to act. #Shen Yue# always needs to perform the bitterness in the smile. Gu Yi's happy smile must hide a lot of bitterness so that Liang Daiwen won't find it. #Lin Yi# always needs to perform the heartbeat that makes him feel confused under the expression of facial paralysis. Under the extremely suppressed emotional situation, the audience can feel Liang Daiwen's heartbeat, sadness, panic, helplessness, jealousy, loss and many other emotions through eyes and very subtle expressions. I think both actors have interpreted it very well.

It is a drama that is worth savoring and full of energy. It requires a bit of patience to watch. The editing at the beginning is a bit jumpy, but you will like it after you get used to it!"

"I rarely watch idol dramas anymore. I feel like they are all the old-fashioned, silly, sweet, overbearing CEO-type plots. I'm tired of watching them. But! Lost Laughter really fed me well.[tear]First of all, the first element of an idol drama is appearance! Really great👍Lin Yi and Shen Yue are really amazing. The plot is also good, and each character has a full storyline and character. Not to mention the camera language. It is a very profound drama. I feel that it is not an idol drama."

~

"The director shot it very delicately. Objectively speaking, Lost Laughter is really pretty good, a bit like sweet wine, the more you drink, the more you get drunk, and the more you watch it, the better it gets! Friendship, family, love, workplace, struggle, warmth, healing, very full and rich plot! I've been completely addicted to it these days!"

~

"Lost Laughter is really like a cup of coffee. I think it's super good. The plot, photography, and character design are amazing. The male and female protagonists are both okay. There is no female competition, and there are female leaders in the workplace."

~

"I've been watching a drama all night recently. It's a romance drama, but it has less sweet elements and more sad elements. It's a sadomasochistic love story, but there are no irreconcilable contradictions that prevent the hero and heroine from being together. Anyway, I cried in 10 episodes (maybe because my tear point has dropped). I like @Shen Yue's smile, it feels really healing. Gu Yi's persistence in love and courage are advantages that many people don't have now. @Lin Yi's dramas are getting better and better. I'm used to seeing his sweet look, and I'm really not used to his expressionless face. I want to ask if he laughs often during filming[Laughing][Laughing]Anyway, I recommend everyone to watch it."

they have a movie coming out next year
It's a remake of the Kmovie "The Classic" where FL plays both mom and daughter, but here Lin Yi plays both dad and son. YY is playing the daughter who ends up with the son (original parts played by Son Yejin and Jo Insung took up around half of the movie). They have romantic scenes and their characters end up together so it's still something to look forward to 🥰 And I hope they'll pair up again for another drama, SC director and producer also told them they look forward to working together again so there's hope 💛

Bruh.. you've got it wrong. Please scroll down the comments section and just see how many comments these two users have made fighting back and forth with other users- and see my comments too. I don't know if you're aware but since the start, a group of people have been influencing the ratings with fake accounts and writing negative comments. I replied to such a fake account and this user slandered me saying all sorts of things that I never did. I feel pity for them and wanted them to stop it too.
