The parallel with Deok Im wiping San’s tears from episode 1 to episode 17 :’)

Both die. Bittersweet ending.

I see many comparisons with Scarlet Heart but remember that this was the reality that actually happened to Jeongjo and Uibin Seong. So I feel that the dramas can’t be compared with each other.

I do like how the drama doesn’t sugarcoat the life after the leads got together and Deok Im becoming a concubine.

Before the tragedy in episode 17, it would’ve been nice to see sweet family moments like there was in the novel. Like Munhyo calling Deok Im mother even though he’s not supposed too.

My final rating is 9.5/10

I do wish there was an episode in between 16 and 17 (it would’ve been nice to see 20 episodes) but I am satisfied with the ending.
