I wonder if all of this happened for her character development since there are 40 episodes. Hopefully, she gets good character development and her character matures.

Wen Xiu is so irritating

You can criticize LYT’s acting + chemistry with her male leads but don’t body shame her. Anorexia is a mental illness and not a body type (anyone can have anorexia). We know that actresses are pressured to be skinny especially in China.

A quote from episode 5 that Yuri spoke which I found so important:
“I want children to be in a world where they can trust adults.”

No problem :D

Also, in the drama the police/investigators knew that Satoko was being abused by her husband but they did nothing at all to help her. Which also showed another reality for victims of abuse being ignored.

After watching the previews for episodes 3, 4, 5, and 6, this drama really has the same vibe as Jewel in the Palace where the FL works hard to achieve her dream.

If there is slight romance in the drama I hope it’s with Do Gi and Go Eun. But it would be nice if there’s no romance plot at all.

Tbh, Ha Na so far is an annoying character. I hope her character will be less annoying in future episodes.

I’m going to miss watching this drama, I hope the novel that the drama was adapted from gets translated into English one day (I would read it)

Yuri getting 15 years in prison despite killing the abusive husband of her close friend really shows how much the law system doesn’t care about abuse victims. My guess about Maho pretending to be Yuri was right, her character development can be seen very well. I feel bad for Satoko especially with Ogata being murdered by his ex-gang. It’s sad that Yuri would die from cancer in the future.

Completed episode 5; this drama had amazing acting and a great suspenseful storyline. My rating for this drama is 9/10.

It’s nice seeing a historical drama where the FL will become a businesswoman. Does anyone know which dynasty this drama is set in?
