I'm wondering if MK here is going for the angle that Hae Eun went in s2. Crying over her ex all the time, since…
I agree with you Chinggu. I think she is doing a "Hae Eun" move from S2. I forgot all about Hae Eun. Yeah, but MK has to be sympathy worthy for viewers, like sweet and pitiful. But MK is like demanding, commanding and harsh in her tone with YS. I mean, probably YS deserves it, but if you are the one wanting to get back...(which I honestly think she should not), then MK should be humble in doing so. Hae Eun nailed it with the pitiful, crying act...hahaha... and she had atleast "Hyun Gyu"...
Just watched the latest ep 18, with good subs. Not sure if everything was translated over, as you know, there is a phrase "lost in translation"...
Anyway, let me get this straight, so everyone here is broken up right. If you break up, you have no more rights to demand anything from your ex. And if you want to get together back with your ex, you should ask properly and in a loving way and not be rude and demanding and insulting, as if you were still in a relationship when you had all the "rights" to do such behavior. Remember, you are broken up. And if you want to get back together, you have to be like when you were still at the beginning, nice, cutesy, understanding, caring, no issues or anything. Like a super clean slate again.
So that is established right.
So Enter: Minkyung (MK). She is way out of line. Yoosik (YS) does not have to explain anything to her at all. Like, MK has no rights to ask anything with YS. YS can go on all the dates he wants, he is a free man. Plain and simple. If MK wants to get back, she will accept all of those and turn a blind eye and then just beg to get back to YS, if that is what she wants.
But to bring back all the issues from their 9-year relationship again, that is wrong. I mean, that is over, that is done. Then just 2 choices now for MK, get back to YS, and be better now, or just leave YS alone.
There is a book called "Its Called a Breakup because its broken" by Greg Berendht. They should read that.
But anyway, its fun watching them fight, hahaha. But its not a correct fight. MK is in the losing end. YS is just being as civil and controlled actions as possible bec its a camera laden environment. But YS is bringing logical arguments to the table. While MK is not.
Anyway, who knows, it will just be rehash of Heedo and Nayeon (season 2) that despite all that fights on camera, they still got back together.
But I am just saying, MK has no rights and has no merits on her arguments. They have already broken up. No one is in a relationship with anyone. They are all free to date anyone till the end. Then decide on the Last Day or Confession Day. That's it.
But its fun to watch. Very entertaining. I just pity MK when she watches this in the future, because these are her actions from her past, that she may or may not agree with anymore at this time.
If I were her, I will not fight YS, not on camera anyways. Its so embarrassing. What she should have done is shut up and gain the sympathy of people. Like the "I was in a 9-year relationship with him and he ignores me" kinda drama.
Plus MK's tone in demanding YS to get back together with her, its on a fight mode. Girl, if I were YS, I would not get back with you. Men want peace, not nagging.
I was just going to say the same thing, it got boring, but you just pulled out the words from me. Lol. I think,…
You are welcome. I actually just checked ep 21, its just a promotional/additional video actually at 25 mins only, Like how the hosts watch the actual last ep which is ep 20. So the real "last episode" is ep 20. And I can relate, Hae Eun and Hyun Gyu are so sweet! I love them so much. But I also love the others like Lee Jiyeon and Nayeon.
I think for the BH-HJ thing, I think the reasons has been said here and done, and I am just repeating it.
So BH is an aspiring actor, right, so for him to get exposure for viewers and producers, directors, etc...he has to be visible in this dating show so lots of screentime. So he makes drama with HJ to test his acting and crying skills. Then for YY, of course, he wants to be talked about as he is doing the "Transit Love" thing. Its a dating show of course. You date around. Anyway, just my opinion.
I just rewatched "Love Like A K-drama", I think BH is more appropriate to join that. Maybe he can jump on the season 2 of that show if there will be. Lol.
this show got so boringno actual sincere development of romantic feelings towards new love interest, no chemistry…
I was just going to say the same thing, it got boring, but you just pulled out the words from me. Lol. I think, they should just end it, just go straight to last 2 eps and give us the end games. There is no use going round and round the dates with others then just exes will get back together.
I really missed season 2. I watched it recently its so good. But not perfect, there are things I did not like too, but just minor.
I watched the RAW again , but just skimmed through it because I will be watching the fully subbed ep tomorrow. But I am glad to able to read spoilers on this site, to cure my curiosity for the latest eps.
And just wanted to drop this thought here: We are watching decisions made by people (cast); made like 6 months ago...and we are dreaming of changing their decisions...like whoa...this already a made and edited show from the past. Then we are just "delayed" in watching their decisions...So if I were us, just sit back and relax and watch till the end. There is nothing we can do with their decisions. It is already made months ago. Then its made into a show, lol. We can only speculate what happened but we cannot make them change it at this point. Its not a live show. Anyway, still loving the show.
Also another thought: So comparing with Season 2 (best season IMO), there are too many not to say things that cast is being like a robot now. Unlike in S2, Lee Jiyeon there was so talkative and blunt, it gives me fresh vibes. She says what she likes all the time. Like it does not feel like a controlled and constricted environment. Here in S4, it too much restrictions in my opinion, its not fun anymore.
Another thought: Oh and for the red flag behaviors of some casts, guess what, they all know that they are on camera, even on recorded audio. So believe it or not, the behavior they are showing on the show are already "filtered" at that point...so take a guess what they are so much more in real life...
just like chinese mobile phone broke the mobile phone pricing, they need someone like netflix to break a standart.…
I agree with you Chingu. I actually posted here, awhile back (ep 1-2) that I wanted Netflix to grab this, This Exchange Dating show, bec I was ranting about the subs back then(I wanted the show to have subs the moment it releases) , but someone commented that it might result in Singles Inferno: that it will get cut off, the important scenes...like Netflix might not tolerated having 2-3 hours eps of a dating show, not sure. I think that will be the case too. We have seen how Singles Inferno got a bunch of unreleased clips on Youtube, and we have missed crucial turning points. So I like Exchange to stay as it is, have 2-3 hour eps (they do that on the last few eps as seen on Season 3) but I like someone major like Netflix grabbing it too...So its a difficult compromise...
Looked at the Raw on kisskh, will just wait till tomorrow to watch. I will not push it if there's no decent subs now. But I kinda understand a bit, so they will go to Ex Rooms, then a new ex couple reveal, and a new male catfish appearing at the very end. It's getting good and interesting. But I just don't like the 1 ep per week, like why so scarce. I mean, c'mon, give it to the viewers to be entertained to the fullest...why be stingy to us viewers...
Its getting repetitive at this point. The real fun starts when the exes are revealed. So everyone knows who they are watching out for, the ex of their love interest, etc. And the dates, where are all the fun dates? They keep on reverting back to their exes after all the fun dates... like c'mon...stop going back to your exes. This show is about transferring or exchanging...be free and mingle with others...
I think the only one following the rules is Min Kyung...atleast she has dated everyone and is having fun... and has caught the interest of Woojin....but Woojin is also weird... why the hell does he want to go back to Jiyeon when Jiyeon is downright moved on and just displays affection for Wongyu...
Now I feel why everyone is saying season 2 is the best...
Just fresh off watching ep 9 with good subs. I am not here to predict endgames or anything. I just want to share that I am happy with the dates shown. The night before, YS-JH, then starting in the morning: WG-YY then WJ-MK then JH-JH. All of them are heart fluttering. It reminds me why I watch dating shows. The "dates" themselves are well worth a watch. I mean, even if ex couples get back together, at least they had their fun first and really assured to themselves that "this" is what they will be missing when they get back together with their ex.
The "This" I am talking about is the excitement, the newness, the novelty of starting a new relationship, versus if they get back to their exes, then it will be the same old problems, issues, same old routines... So this is what they are battling for in here...if the old (or ex) is worth going back to, or its better to start anew with someone else...
Its kind of like, in this show they put everyone on a crossroad...to reflect, to decide, to ponder...on what to do next...and given multiple options on who they can pursue...its all laid out in front of them... it mind boggling, I know, but its going to be a good decision point as well. So they will not regret anything in the future.
So, I am here bec I am watching S4 and its not even halfway done. So nothing to watch that has the same vibes. I have only watched S3 and its just ok.
But now watching S2, I would say, its the best in drama and emotions compared to S3. Even with production troubles like evicting 2 cast members at the start (Yi Hyun and Mingi) which was a waste, but this season still thrived. Its still gold. I thought at first that the 20 eps will put me off, but as it is, its not even enough, I want more, hahaha.
As for the couples, I really wanted HeeDo-Jiyeon and Nayeon-Gyumin. I thought they were better for each other. But sadly, its not the case. Only the heart knows. Attraction alone cannot form a relationship I guess. Happy for Hae Eun-Hyun Gyu; Tae-I and NaEon. But I think Tae! and Naeon are broken bec Naeon appeared in Exchange A New Beginning recently.
Then for the rest(Gyumin, Jiyeon, Jisoo, Wonbin) , its ok, that is just how it is.
But this season is definitely the best in my opinion. Now I just have to watch S1 and continue with S4 as the episodes come out.
All in all, I like how this dating show drama is made. Not scripted and feels real. Unless, I am just easily fooled. Hahaha. But the plot and premise is genuine.
Just finished watching eps 6-7 with great subs. Now I am able to understand every scene and expressions. Hmmm...Those 2 exes Woojin-JiHyeon and Wongyu-JiHyun was a plot twist for me.
Never expected that. Its all good though. Its all part of the show. I like it. I would just like all of them to mix mix like date each other more. So there are more heart fluttering scenes for us to watch.
Min Kyung is right when she said that this is the only time to do this, date other people "legally" without being judged, because that is what the show is all about..EXchange dates with one another...I would have done the same as her. With or without getting back with Yoosik.
I will be like Min Kyung and date a lot. Why not, its free and its fun. And all of the men are good looking too. Hahaha. It was very fitting that the catfish, chose her.
As for Hyun Ji, she reminds me of Hae Eun from season 2 (which I am only watching now, hahaha) and they are also both Flight Attendants. So, I wish for Hyun Ji to find a Hyun Gyu too (season 2 catfish). Anyway, these are just random thoughts. Loving every moment of this season 4 by the way.
Here I go again...I watched a raw episode and then I will rewatch again in 2 days time for a decently subbed ep. I can't seem to stop myself from watching huhu,
Maybe in the future, I should not start a new season and just wait for it to be atleast half episodes released, before I even start...So I will have a buffer to watch only properly subbed episodes.
And why is it just 1 ep per week now. I am so disappointed.
As for the exes, I would rather wait for the show to reveal them for us. There is no use for me to keep on guessing. But reading comments here gives me ideas and I appreciate them.
I wish that this show is grabbed by Netflix, so at least when they release an ep, it will be fully subbed and…
Yeah, I think so...lots of editing that we miss a lot of key points and real story...I get what you mean. It is not appropriate at all. I was just ranting about the subs though...haha. I wish that eps came out as subbed already. So we are not scrambling for subs from diff sites and watching raw like I do.
I was so excited for today, Wednesday bec new eps are out. But now, I realize that there is no decent subs yet…
I wish that this show is grabbed by Netflix, so at least when they release an ep, it will be fully subbed and even if they just release 1 ep per week, at almost 2 hours per ep, it will be totally worth. Rather than now, I watched the raw on kisskh...it was like eating raw instant noodles, instead of cooked noodles...if you know what I mean...lol
Anyway, let me get this straight, so everyone here is broken up right. If you break up, you have no more rights to demand anything from your ex.
